Wolfgang watched the sand shift over and past his feet, he could feel the temperature drop, and though it was nice sensation, he knew that it meant the day was ending. He still haddn't sat down, he remained looking at the horizon. He was hopeful, the Jintori seemed to know where they were going, but he also knew that the other Jintori could be right on their tail. He kept out a watchful eye. He heard slight shifting from behind him. Inori was up, and her wings outstretched. "I want to go find them, they've been gone far too long. It's getting colder, we can't stay here." She was panicing, perfect. "Listen, they'll be here soon. Losing faith in them isn't going to help anyone. Just... sit back down and wait awhile longer." He turned away again. "..No! For all we know the other Jintori could have found them, or they could have gotten lost.." "And what makes you think going out alone wont land you defensless and lost?" Inori didn't answer, she was frustrated, but she realised that she was over reacting. She exhaled. "I'm sorry, I'm just worried. I've never really... had companions before, I don't know how I should act." The ex-location guard found this amusing, but the laughter only showed in his eye. "Worrying won't do anything, and it definatley won't make them return any faster. All we can do is hope for the best." What an optimist. The voice was back again, this tim sarcastic. Each word peirced his nerves, but the feeling quickly subsided.
"If you're cold, take this." Wolfgang took off his dark sage cloak and handed it to her. Under his clothes were still dark, though much less detailed clothes. She widened her eyes, confused by his sudden generosity. "Oh? Um.. thank you." Inori took it and sat back down beside Buskin. Maybe he wasn't such an asshole after all.
ooc/ sorry, i made it so a few hours passed, and this is such a random post. Sorry again because it took so long. Im posting this at 3:30 in the morning too! Haha... I think I might be nocturnal..

((lolz its ok. Oh, and if you want to roleplay using any of the random jintori, your free to do so. Except for the ones I name. lolz. But any of the others, you can use. Feel free to. yup. mmhm.))
"Why is he taking so long?" A thin, brightly colored jintori finally spoke up after plenty of awkward silence. "He knows we can't stay out here till dark!" Worried about the increasing chill, he paced back and forth. Bonzo knew how dangerous it was for a jintori to stay out in the cold. With such thin bones, they could freeze to death much faster than a human. And with their thin clothes, they knew they didn't have much longer before it would become too dangerous for them to stay out there.
A second jintori, a slim female, with hair as bright and pink as her eyes, stood up, her attitude finally catching up with her. "I can't see why he is risking this whole flock for one stupid human! They are useless anyway. They hate us, why can't we hate them?!"
"HOW DARE YOU!" A final jintori stood up in offense, acting as a temporary leader while Bonzo was away. "Bonzo knows what he is doing. He wouldn't endanger the flock, and you know it. He will be here! And after he resued you from the pureblood, you still don't have faith in him? How dare you think of him as anything but Bonzo the greedy."((remember that for later, it is important! lolz)) The pink headed jintori dropped her head, her eyes focused on the sand beneath her feet. The first jintori put his arm around her and sighed.
"Tuuscko, I trust Bonzo. He has saved us all, made us all happier. But... if he doesn't get here soon, I'm taking Shi'ahi and leaving. I know it is dangerous out there... but not as dangerous as staying here out here all night and freezing to death!" Tuuscko closed his eyes and sighed. "If you truly must, so be it." A small gust of wind passed by, sending shivers through Tuusko's feathers. He wrapped his wings around himself and sat back down in the sand.
*****
Bonzo's wings flapped strongly in the air. He was amazed by how easily Patrick and Sahara flew on their sabbia. He had never before seen one so tame, and here he was flying beside too of them. He glanced back at where Kumming was trailing behind, obviously shivering from the cool wind. Unlike Bonzo, he no longer had youth on his side. Bonzo spread out his wings and glided, falling behind the two humans to glide along side Kumming.
"Kumming, you doing alright?" The rogue jintori leader asked his close friend, who smiled in response. "I can already feel my blood freezing, and I'm no where near as young as I used to be. So I guess I couldn't be better." Bonzo chuckled slightly. It was always like Kumming, trying to stay brave and optimistic, even in the worst of situations. "Lets get these humans and the flock back to the nests. We could all use a good nights rest." Bonzo nodded. He flapped his wings harder to catch back up with Patrick and Sahara.
"We should be nearly there... if it is alright with you two, I'd like to fly a bit faster. It is dangerous for us jintori to be out in the cold." Patrick nodded. "Good idea. I just hope you have room at your place for all us humans." Bonzo smiled. "Plenty."
***
Finally, they caught up with the rest of the group. Quickly, they landed, and Patrick explained the situation. "Sorry it took so long, Sahara was in bad shape, but she is fine now. We have too hurry back to where the rogues live... Bonzo promised us a warm place for the night." He looked over at Inori, noticing that she must have been freezing. "Are you doing alright?" He noticed that Wolfgang had given up his cloak for her. He looked at Wolfgang and smiled slightly. "Thank you." He whispered.
Bonzo attended to his flock. They all seemed extremly glad to finally see him. All but two of them. "Where is Jainee and Shi'ahi?" The tall jintori named Tuuscko frowned. "I'm sorry Bonzo. Jainee was afraid something had happened to you, and flew off with Shi'ahi to the nests." Bonzo frowned in response. "Do not blame them...I know Jainee would do anything to keep Shi'ahi safe... I just hope they will be safe. The purebloods raid at night. I pray they do not find them..."
"Alright, all we can do is head to the nests. Maybe they will make it there safely, or maybe we will come across them on the way. Either way, we need to get the others home." Tuuscko nodded. "We are well ready to go." Sahara leapt off of Strawberry and ran up to Kumming, who was breathing heavily and shaking. "Kumming... that is your name, right? I'm sorry... I have a strong reason for not trusting jintori. A very painful past... but I'm trying to put that all behind me, because I know now that you guys aren't all bad. I'm learning alot this trip." She pulled off her desert coat and handed it to him.
Kumming looked up at Sahara in disbelief. "You humans... I have heard many rotten tales about you. But I have yet to see anything that proves those stories right. Thank you... Thank you." Sahara nodded and smiled. "I only wish I had enough for all of you. I'm sorry to have put you in so much danger. But I know you are suffering most here, and I know Bonzo trusts you more than anyone. I know I would hate to lose such a close friend..." She glanced over her shoulder at Patrick. She was glad to still have him there beside her, even though Connor was gone. She hated to admit it, but she would rather have it been Connor than Patrick anyway, though sometimes, she wished it had just been herself.
Before she knew it, the others were already up in the air, including Kumming, wearing her desert coat. "Sahara, lets go." Patrick called from above. She nodded and leapt onto Strawberry, pulling on the reigns. She rose into the air and flew up next to Wolfgang. "Sorry I kept you all worried... " She smiled at him. "Luckily these guys came just in time, eh?"

Wolfgang was relieved to see everyone back, and he could tell that Inori was too, because she sprung to her feet and her eyes brightened. She couldn't bring herself to talk to the other Jintori in the time Patrick and Bonzo had been gone, but she had noted the other two flying off. She felt worried, thankful she haddn't flown off herself. Inori was also pleasantly surprised to see that Sahara was acting far kinder then the Jintori, it gave her hope more than anything.
Buskin rose quickly, not surprised to see Patrick ad the others return, but relieved all the same. He flapped his wings a few times to circulate his blood, then cawed at Wolfgang. He wanted to leave. Wolfgang understood, and quickly saddled up. He jumped on, and was instantly off the ground. The lurching feeling still got to him, but he was getting used to it. "Sorry I kept you all worried... luckily these guys came just in time, eh?" He exchanged a very light smile, "It sounds like Strawberry is a hero just as much as the others."

Sahara nodded, stroking Strawberry's sharp feathers. "She sure is." The bird purred in response, fluttering her wings in happiness. Sahara gave her a little nudge, and they caught back up with Patrick and Bonzo. "How far is this place?" She asked, curious and wanting to get in a good nap.
"Oh not much farther!" Bonzo replied. "If we go fast. It'll get warmer as we get closer." Patrick nodded. "And we are going north Sahara, towards theive's pass. That means the frozen sea isn't far off. Bonzo here says we can restock at their nests. Get food and weapons. We are going to need it, if we are going anywhere near the frozen sea... and Shifuto Aisu." Sahara laughed. "We still havn't figured out how they are going to even let us near that place, have we? Or even Wolfgang, seeing as how he is riding a sabbia."
Patrick shrugged. "We'll figure it out. Things always seem to just work out that way. I just can't wait to see hw it'll turn out when your family sees you there." Sahara smiled. "My uncle will probably try to shoot me down again. Though my cousin Foster isn't too bad. I wonder how she is doing..." Patrick smiled back. "I guess we'll find out hm?" Sahara nodded. "Hey, Patrick... thanks for coming after me. You too Bonzo, really." Patrick nodded. "Your my best friend. You would do the same for me."
Sahara smiled. It was weird... how much she had grown on this trip. And she knew it too. She felt like she was actually a part of something. It almost made her sad, knowing that she was going miss all this when she got back to the village, without Wolfgang, and even the jintori. She sure hoped she wouldn't go back to hating the jintori when they got back.

Wolfgang looked down at Buskin as he soared whimsically through the air. He couldn't help but smirk. They were making progress, they really were. He still had doubts when it came to Shifuto Aisu, but with these people, anything seemed possible. He looked ahead now at Patrick and Sahara. They had done so much for him.. Inori too. "How cute. You think these people are your friends. It's only a matter of time until they find out... Until history repeats itself." Wolfgang's heart pounded, Buskin flapped his wings and huffed. He could feel the dark presence, he cawed and rose higher in the air. Wolfgang grabbed his reigns while trying to grasp his temple. "calm down, dammit!" Buskin obeyed and settled, but the voice didn't quiet. "Just wait. Wait until it's dark. I'll devour them all while you watch. I'll slit Sahara's throat, pluck every feather from your bird friends... And leave that damned Patrick soaked in their blood." Wolfgang lurched over, grasping Buskin's feathers for life. He felt like his head was splitting. "No. I'm going to.. Make sure you don't hurt anyone else." "Goodness, are you alright?!" Inori's voice was enough to scare the voice away, he looked at her three shades paler. "yes, I'm fine. I guess I'm not used to.. Flying yet. At least not this fast. I'll be fine."
Inori gave a sympathetic smile and flew ahead towards Patrick, Bonzo, Kummings and Sahara.

Sahara too had noticed that something was up with Wolfgang. She fell behind the others and glided next to him. "Wolfgang? Is something up? I mean, I know you told Inori that your alright, but... I don't want to force you to tell me. Just know that I'm here if you do want to talk or anything." She glanced out ahead, noticing Patrick talking to Inori and smiled. He sure seemed to like her... but she would keep quiet about that. She turned back to Wolfgang.
"I made a promise to stay with you to Shifuto Aisu. And that doesn't just mean in person." She smiled. "I mean... we are friends now, right?"
Patrick smiled at Inori. "Really Inori, thanks for coming back to save us. Not only would we all have been dead, but, we would have never learned that we could trust some jintori either. I really hope you come with us to Shifuto Hiru. You'll like it their, I promise." He smiled. Now that he had enough time to calm down and really look at her... she actually looked very, very beautiful. He shook the though from his mind. It just wasn't right, starting to fall in love with someone who could never love him back. He turned back to the front of the flock, at Bonzo.
"How much further now?" He asked. Bonzo smiled. "Not much! Not much! See the trees up a head? We are just through those." Patrick widened his eyes. He was so busy talking before that he didn't notice that they had passed the desert. It was even a bit warmer, which would explain why the jintori weren't flying so fast in desperation. Now that he was so calm, he noticed the stars in the sky, and the bright crescent moon. Even the quiet flapping of the flock of jintori and sabbia were refreshing.
Perhaps this was a sign of good things to come. Or maybe it was just a break from the craziness...either way, he was very glad to be there.

Wolfgang was surprised to see Sahara, but he didn't let the expressions show. The voice had left again, lurking in the shadows of his mind. "we're friends now." Wolfgang nodded. The first time he had met her he wanted to strangle her, it was difficult for him to beleive they were friends now. But he was glad they were. "thank you Sahara, but don't worry about me." atleast not yet.
Inori's wings stopped flapping as she took the wind's current, she soared beside Patrick with a proud smile. She had known going back for Connor and Patrick would mean a death sentence, but the feeling of freedom she knew would be worth it. She only hoped that if she returned to shifuto hiru they would accept her like the others had. And the sunahane... She had made a deal with them too.

Sahara nodded, trusting him for the moment. However, she continued to fly next to him, just incase. Well, that, and she didn't want to interupt Patrick and Inori's conversation. She kept quiet, patting Strawberry down to hear her purr. It was very comforting to her. It hadn't been this quiet in a long while. She doubted that she would even be able to sleep without the constant flapping of wings.
It was quiet all the way to the nests. Sahara was amazed when they came into site. Honestly, she didn't know what to expect. When she thought of the word nest, she wondered if they lived in straw made beds on top of large branches. She couldn't have been more wrong. The rogue jintori nests were homes, actual houses. They were still built in the trees, to make it hard for humans to get to, but they were amazing. Wooden bridges connected the buildings, which were made from many different materials including wood, metal, and even some gold she could see. All together, it was a brilliant and uniquely made village. And the people there she saw were even more amazing.
The "nests" were filled with different jintori, and even some humans, obviously trading for unique and rather expensive weapons and wares. Some of the jintori were incredibly bright, their feather patterns ranging anywhere from a simple blue jay, to a flamingo, and even peacock. Most of the jintori looked almost human, but there were a few even with complete bird heads instead of human. It was an awesome sight.
"We're here!" Bonzo cried out, and the flock yipped and cheered. The warmth of fires and light soaked into Patrick's skin like a new best friend. Piles of jintori were waiting outside, prepared for the human visitors. Patrick even spotted a large table, covered in food underneath what looked to be a very large patio.
Everybody landed softly onto the wooden bridges. Some of the jintori, still shivering, headed straight for their own homes, while some stayed and waited to see what the human visitors would do. Jester landed, and Patrick stepped off of him. A couple of jintori came close to him, watching in amazement, never believing that a human could tame such a beast. He was nervous about Jester, but Jester kept his calm. He even seemed happy to have so much attention.
Sahara eventually landed right next to Patrick, stepping off of Strawberry and stretching her tired muscles. She was happy to be near heat again. Without her coat, she had been freezing about as much as some of the jintori. To be honest, she was NOT used to the cold temperatures, seeing as how she rarely was out side at night, and when she was, she always had her heavy coat.
Bonzo watched closesly as everyone landed, making sure that they landed safetly, and that everyone was alright. He tended to Kumming, who was rather blue in the face from the cold, but other than that, was ok. He returned the jacket to Sahara, who happily threw it back over her own shoulder.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY NEVER MADE IT?!" Bonzo shouted at a young jintori, one of the two jintori that left to prepare the way. "I'm sorry sir... They never landed here... they left the flock? At night? They aren't even strong warriors..." Bonzo shook his head. "Just love sick fools." He turned around and stared into the thin forest.
"I have to find them."
The young jintori shook his head. "Sir, no, the coucil have been waiting for you for quite some time... they are furious. Let us send out a search squad in the morning." Bonzo glared at the young jintori. "My mother and father can wait! But the others may not be able to... See to it that our human guests eat well and rest up. Tell everyone I will see them in the morning." "Shouldn't someone atleast go with you?"
But before he could even finish his question, Bonzo had spread his wings wide and flew out through the trees and out of sight.

Inori was completley amazed by all the different Jintori and humans living together, the houses and just the atmosphere made her feel at home. It was a feeling she haddnt felt in a very, very long time. She landed and folded her wings behind her back, she looked at Patrick and stepped closer to him. Though the people seemed friendly, she hated being watched, she nervously began to hide behind Patrick.
Wolfgang was thankful to step on solid ground again, he got off of Buskin and de-saddled himself. He could smell the rich aroma of food, he didn't care what it was, he was going to eat himself fat.
He watched as Bonzo left in a hurry to help his fellow Jintori. He wondered if he should o after him and help, but he knew that Buskin was cold and exhausted and that he would probably just get in his way. He walked over to Patrick, Sahara and Inori, Buskin close behind. "hopefully he'll be alright." he meant it.
Inori nodded, she shivered under the borrowed cloak. "I'm sure he will be."

Patrick nodded. He was about to speak up when Kumming approached them. "Please, come and eat. We have plenty of food. We tried to pick foods that both human and jintori would eat.. hopefully you will like." He glanced at the sabbia, especially Jester, who looked about ready to eat his own talons. "All are welcome." He smiled. "We have plenty of room, even for your sabbia." Patrick smiled and nodded. While he wanted to be worried for Bonzo, there was no use just worrying. They might as well eat and rest.
"Well!" Kumming said. "don't everybody run at once!" Sahara laughed slightly and grabbed Strawberry's reigns. "I have NO trouble going first!" She pushed ahead, laughing. Strawberry seemed to be starving too. Patrick waited a moment, but realized the jintori were waiting for their visitors to eat first. He gave up trying to be polite and headed towards the table, Jester pushing him from behind.
He had never seen such a variety of foods. There were many things, some looked delicious, while some, well, he was sure Jester might like it, but he would stray away from. There were roasted duck (some with all the heads, guts, and feathers still attached), tons of fruits and vegetables from all over (some which he had never seen before), mashed potatoes, Turkey, Chicken (he was amazed at how many birds these bird people eat. It sent shivers down his spine, hoping they had only cooked these for the humans), Ham and pork, ribs, and even some seemingly delicious hamburgers. Ofcourse, there were things he had never recognized before, like a salad that was apparrently made from mashed roaches, and some kind of grubs cooked in a blanket. Ofcourse, there was no way he was trying any of that.
He was glad to see, however, that the jintori share the same drinks as humans. There was ofcourse, water, and milk, and a wide variety of wines and ales. At first, he thought there was even some fruit punch, though it turned out to be only another, jintori brand of wine. After he had gathered a plate of food, he wondered how he would be able to eat it all. And then his stomach growled, and he realized it wouldnt be that hard. He sat next to Sahara, watching entertainingly as Strawberry and Jester snatched up food from the table in front of people.
"This sure was....nice of them." Sahara noted. Patrick nodded. "I can't wait to see what else they have for us." Sahara laughed, but in her heart, she agreed completly.

Inori sat down with a plate full of food a Jintori would usually eat, a large quantity of it had to do with insects. She looked at Patrick and Sahara's meal, she frowned, embarressed at her own food, but ate it none the less. It was awhile until Wolffang joined them, he had a plate full of both race's food and a glass of Jintori wine. He sat and began to eat, chewing very slowly when if came to the insects.
Inori laughed, "Why would you get food you know you won't like?" Wolfgang choked down his bug salad. "I want to show thanks, so I took a bit of everything. Even if I hate if, it is a manner that I've learned." he downed the remainder of the Jintori food with his wine as he looked at Buskin, devouring his own share of food.

Patrick watched Inori while she ate. Though he would probably never try eating grub salad, he didn't find it disguisting that she would. She was jintori after all. When she laughed at Wolfgang, he just smiled. Her laugh was so cheery, so uplifting. He kept thinking about the first time he heard her voice. He was so scared that it could have been a hideous Sunahane, that when he saw her, she looked more beautiful than anything.
He was snapped out of his day dreaming as Sahara nudged his elbow. "Hey, lover boy." She whispered directly into his ear. "You were staring." Patrick felt his face flush. "I don't... I'm not..." Sahara chuckled. "Yea, ok, whatever you say." She sipped on some light wine. Patrick glanced back at Inori. Was he falling in love? And with a jintori? It was so odd... and yet, he felt like it couldn't be more right. Still... he wouldn't mention anything to her. He didn't want to ruin anything... and besides, by how much she had been talking to Wolfgang, he wouldn't be suprised if she was inlove with him. It was understandable, especially since she had seen Patrick tied up and weeping like a child.
He sighed and chewed on a rack of ribs. Though it wasn't what he was used to in Shifuto Hiru, it was much better than dirt and cacti. Actually, it wasn't that bad. He looked across the table at the other jintori. They too were laughing at the sabbia, who were now walking amongst them and snatching food off their plates. He was thankful that they had a sense of hummor.
He turned around to take out his plate, and was startled to see Kumming standing infront of him. "Sorry to bother you, Patrick. But I was to inform you that your beds are ready for you." He turned and glanced out of the window. Patrick could tell he was worried about something. He faced Patrick again. "When you are all ready, I'll take you to your rooms." Patrick smiled and nodded. "Thank you." Kumming nodded back. "I was also to tell you that you may stay as long as is needed."
Patrick glanced back at Wolfgang. "It really depends on him...It might just be tonight." Kumming nodded. "That is sad, but understandable. Then your new supplies will be ready by morning. And know that you are free to visit at any time. You are now friends of the Corsaire Jintori Clan." Patrick smiled. "Thanks. And hey, don't worry too much about Bonzo, alright? He wouldn't do anything to hurt the flock. He'll come back." Kumming smiled and nodded. "You are right. Thank you."
***********
"These buildings are for guests... tonight, for you." Kumming pointed at the two buildings, side by side. Obviously, these jintori had the same rules as most humans; men in one room, women in the other. "The sabbia are sleeping in the stables, at the base of the trees. I promise you, they are well safe their." Sahara glanced inside one of the rooms. The furniture looked like something from a rich person's home. Actually, it was probably stolen or traded from a rich person. "These are really nice rooms." She informed the others. "Inori, even you won't believe it."
Then something out in the trees caught her eyes. Something was flying towards them, in a very shaky flight pattern. At first, she thought it was a sunahane, flying crookidly, and it spooked her, then she realized it was two masses, not one, and one of them seemed hurt. "Bonzo!" She shouted. Kumming turned around. "Bonzo!" He unfurled his wings and flew towards his leader.
Bonzo was carrying the slim female jintori from before, Shi'ahi. Kumming rushed out to help him, and he took a very injured Shi'ahi from Bonzo. "Bonzo, what happened?" Bonzo, out of breath and very tired landed onto the wooden bridge next to Patrick and the others. "It was a human raid... they attacked with guns." Kumming rushed Shi'ahi to the hospital wing.
Sahara walked up to Bonzo. "Wasn't there another?" Bonzo frowned and nodded. "He didn't make it... he was protecting Shi'ahi... The humans were searching for some people, they must have thought they were pureblood raiders..." Patrick frowned. They must have been searching for them... Then it was sort of their fault...
Bonzo brushed his hand through his hair. "They should have never left!" Sahara frowned, setting a hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry Bonzo... but this wasn't your fault. Your a great leader..." He looked up at Sahara and sighed. "Thank you... you know, for humans, you guys aren't all that bad..."

"Bonzo, if it is worth anything... I'm sorry." Wolfgang's eyes had followed Kummings and the injured Jintori until they were out of sight. It was their fault for being foolish, but the humans wouldn't had been looking for them if it wasn't for him. He sighed lightly, instinctivley placing his hand against his temple. "I'm turning in for the night." he nodded and turned around and crossed the wooden bridge. Inori was still shaken from seeing Shi'ahi in her condition, she had seen worse, but she dust want to beleive humans could do such a thing, not if they were from where Patrick was from. Those were the people that were supposed to accept her? She bit her tremblig lip, fighting back tears. she felt like her dreams had shattered before her. "P-please excuse me as well. Goodnight." She couldn't even look at Patrick, she had known that them being together was a foolish dream. Foolish.

Patrick turned around. "Inori? Wait! Inori!" Sahara grabbed him by the arm and held him back. "Don't... not right now. Give her time to calm down..." She glanced over at where Wolfgang had walked off. "I think we all need time to calm down. But first thing we all need to get over is that this is nobodies fault." Patrick frowned, his eyes dropping to the wooden bridges. "How are we supposed to explain something like this?! How could this happen? How could all the wrong things be happening at the wrong times?!"
Sahara put a hand on his shoulder. "Patrick, we can't control what happens, and we don't always know why they happen, but we have friends to help us through this. Like me, I'm here for you Patrick. You're my best friend." She reached to give him a hug, but he pulled away. "Best friends? Look Sahara, its time to grow up. We aren't children anymore."
Sahara frowned as he walked away, headed in the same direction as Wolfgang. Bonzo stood up and turned to Sahara. "I'm sorry for the pain we have caused your friends..." Sahara shook her head. "No, they will be fine... they are just in shock. After what you have done for us, we wish we could have done something for you." Bonzo shrugged. "There is nothing you could have done."
Sahara sat on the edge of the bridge, hanging her feet over. "I thought I was the immature one..." She didn't say it with anger, but rather sadness. Bonzo sat back down next to her. "It is a tragic thing, when we lose a clan member, but we must also be there even stronger for the others." Sahara nodded, realizing that after Connor's death, she had to become the strong one. And even now, she had to be strong.
"I wish we could stay longer." Bonzo looked over at her. "Then why don't you?" She frowned. "We... we just can't. I promised someone I would take them to Shifuto Aisu, and I don't break promises." Bonzo nodded sadly. "You.. you have a strong heart. Your odd... but you have a strong heart." Sahara shook her head and laughed. "Odd? Yea... Scars all over, robot leg... odd is an understatement." Bonzo shook his head. "But it makes you who you are."
Sahara sighed. "I don't even know who I am." Bonzo shrugged. "I do." She looked at him, confused. "You are Sahara. A very strong, and beautiful women." He leaned forward and kissed her on her lips....

Patrick went straight to his bed. He threw down his coat and took off his shoes, then threw the covers over himself. He layed in bed for a few minutes, until he realized that no matter how tired he was, he couldn't sleep. He sat up in bed. "Wolfgang? I need to talk to someone... are you sleeping?"

Wolfgang was laying in his bed on his side. His eyes gazed out the window at the desert moon. He closed his eyes for a moment. He wanted to dream tonight. No more nightmares. Just as he was about to doze off, he hears Patrick's voice. "hn. I'm awake. What is it you want?"

Patrick rubbed his neck, finally starting to feel the aches from the long trip. He needed to get out what he was thinking. He needed to know. "Are you... inlove with Inori?" He turned his head to crack his neck, and felt much better. "I mean, You guys were talking alot and..." He bit his lips, shutting up. "Because if you are, I really need to know..."

Sahara pushed Bonzo back. "What the hell was that for?!" Bonzo frowned. "I'm sorry... I've... I've been watching you, and... I don't know. I don't know why I feel so strongly for you... ever since... well really, ever since I heard that you were lost. I didn't know you, but I felt I had to get to know you." Sahara stood up, shaking her head. "Look, this is... this... this is so weird!"
Bonzo sighed. "I know, I mean, it is weird for me too. I've never liked a human before. But you... its like, it doesn't even matter if you don't have wings..." He stood up and grabbed hold of her hands. "I will be your wings..."
Sahara looked into his pink eyes. She used to think of them as creepy, but now, she saw them as magnificent. And now, Bonzo's childish fun and bravery seemed like an amazing personality trait. But she still wasn't sure how she felt, how could she? She just met the guy. He was a great leader, but...
"Bonzo, we just met." Bonzo shrugged. "I know. But with us jintori, we believe in love at first sight. And with you... I think..." Sahara put a finger to his lip. "Go to your clan. They need you right now. And I need my rest." Bonzo frowned, but sadly nodded. "I understand..." He folded in his wings and began to walk away.
"Bonzo... we can talk about this in the morning, ok?" Bonzo turned around and gave a weak smile. "Alright. And good night Sahara. May you dream of wonderful things." Sahara smiled. "Yea... you too."

If Wolfgang wasn't awake before, he was now. He bolted upright and looked straight at him. "What?! I..." he couldn't think of what to say. He couldn't help it. He started laughing. "Unbeleivable. And I thought you were smart. Look here," he started, now fully awake and sitting at the edge of his bed, "I don't know if I am breaking some.. Friendship code here, but Inori. All she sees is you. Wen you were gone looking for Sahara, she was going to go off on her own to find you." Wolfgang suddenly felt awkward, he and Inori had been talking a lot, but he had never even thought... "I've never been in love, but I've seen it. When she looks at you." he lay back in bed. He smirked

Patrick stared into the darkness, his mouth agape. "She..." He paused, rubbing his neck again. "You mean that she really..." He sighed. "Are you sure?" He rubbed his forehead. "I feel so stupid. I mean... I've just barely known her, but... I've never been more certain. Even with Sahara, I've known her forever. I used to have a crush on her, but then it just got weird, and I knew we were just friends... But Inori... Its... "
He ran his fingers through his hair. "I... I've got to tell her..."
****
Sahara turned in to her own room. She hoped Inori wasn't already asleep. "Inori?" She asked, setting her stuff down, though she kept her coat on. "I don't mean to wake you, but I thought it would be nice for us to talk. We havn't really talked that much this whole trip. I feel like we've been kind of distant. And well, I'd like to be friends with you. Is it alright if we talk?"

Inori, who had been sitting on her bed turned to Sahara with an alarmed expression. It softened once she began speaking, and when she finished, she gave a light but sad smile. "Talk? Yes, what about?" She had her hair swung over she shoulder, she combed it with her fingers repetitivley. She wasn't even sure she would see Sahara after they were through with Shifuto Aisu. She couldn't go to Shifuto Hiru anymore. There was no way.
Wolfgang rolled back onto his side. "Well? Whatever you're going to do, can you at least be quiet about it? I want to sleep."

Sahara thought about what she would talk about first. She decided to talk about the first thing any normal friend would talk about. "Bonzo kissed me." She blurted out. She looked over at where she thought Inori might be. Her eyes still weren't adjusted to the dark yet. "I feel bad for him! I had no idea he was going to do it! He started telling me how I was strong hearted, and all that bull crap..."
She bit her lip. "The only problem is... Well, at first I thought maybe I liked him too. But now I realize that I just think he is a great guy. I don't love him back. What am I supposed to do? How do I tell him? I mean... he KISSED me!" She felt like a teenage girl, but she didn't care. She really wanted to get this crap off her chest.
"I'm sorry, I hope I'm not bothering you... I'll shut up if you want me to."
