Wolfgang let the surreal sensation rush through him, his life from the very beginning until now seemed to play through at lightning speed. He could see glimpses of moments he had long forgotten, and ones that he would never forget. The light faded away from them, and so did their holy appearances. He kept his eyes closed even after the visions ceased, the bond between them overwhelmed him as Sahara’s thoughts and emotions ran through his own.
“I love you.”
The word was such a shock, even though their minds were bound together. He opened his eye, searching her face for any hint of lie. The feeling within him swelled, and the way both their hearts beat faster he knew she was telling the truth.
“To be honest, I never expected that I would grow so fond of you to even consider you a friend.” He wrapped his arms around her to pull her closer, his lips so close to her that their noses touched. “If we truly are bonded, then you know my reply.” And with that, he broke the distance between them.
As his lips pressed against hers, Wolfgang could feel the difference between the times they had kissed before. At first it had been of fondness, but now it seemed more than that, like their lips were the last part of their souls that needed to be bonded together. He broke away, though barley enough to do more then speak. “I wanted to find the perfect thing to say.. but words continue to elude me. I wanted to say something unique, but I suppose the only words I can really say are that I’m in love with you too.” He pressed her closer and kissed her again, but finally realised that now the trials were actually over, and this dream world would have to return to normal. There would be dangers, ones which they could at least fight together.
“Patrick and Inori... We need to find them.”

Almost before Wolfgang could even finish his sentance, Sahara grabbed hold of his arm and they were thrown back into reality. Sahara nearly had a heart attack as she came to, awaking to find herself laying besides Wolfgang on the couch in the old hut that had been in the trial just moment ago, besides the mess.
Looking around, she noticed a few things about the situation. It was dark, and quite hard to see, though she could just make out the outline of a body slumped in the chair beside her. Sahara reached for her sword, but it was gone, as was her dagger. Her memories returned to her, and she realized that the body of her sister was indeed, dead. She supposed the candles in the room had gone out because her life had ended. Sahara felt a slight bit of remorse before remembering that they needed to hurry.
She scrambled for the door, knowing that Wolfgang was right behind her. It was very useful, being bonded. It was like constantly knowing where someone was and how they were doing, which Sahara used to her advantage. Finally, she found the icy door knob, which was frozen in place. As she touched it, it warmed up and thawed rapidly, and she opened it without further hestitation.
Peeking both ways before stepping out, she snuck out of the hut. Luckily, the sun must not have been up quite yet, otherwise there would already be many people out wandering the frozen paths. Sahara opened her mouth to speak when she realized that she could communicate silently with Wolfgang, and used it to her advantage. 'We have to be careful and quick. If they find my sister's body before we escape, then we will be in deep shit.' She concentrated her thoughts towards Wolfgang.
She shut the door behind her, knowing it would take longer to discover the body than if the door was open. She scurried down the icy path, remembering which direction they had to take to get to the spiritual chamber. A hundred thoughts ran through her head. Was Patrick alright? Was Inori still alive? Could she trust Strawberry to carry her home? What would they tell the village when they got back? How would she be able to thank Bonzo? She shook the thoughts from her mind, knowing that a few of them might well have been Wolfgang's own thoughts, and realizing that all her worrying could have been crowding Wolfgang's mind as well. she raced along the ice and wood paths, her footsteps silent, all accept for the metal clanking of her mechanical leg. She realized that her other leg had been miraciously healed, which she was highly thankful for.
Finally, she skidded along the ice of the frozen chamber, but when she got there, Patrick was no where in sight. A panic began to rise in her mind, until a burst of breath erupted from the cold water. Sahara looked over to see a dark man rise out of the ripples of water, his usual spiked black hair flat and mangled. He met her gaze with a smile.
"Sahara, you're all right... and Wolfgang. Does this mean..." Sahara nodded. "Patrick, we have to hurry. Victoria is dead, and if they find out, we will be too." Patrick's grin faded, and a much more serious look took over his features. "Right. I've been praying for you and Inori all night... We have to get to her." Sahara nodded, agreeing completely. "Lets go!" Sahara shouted, about to jump in the water until Patrick spoke up.
"Wait, Sahara! We have a problem... I tried swimming back to Inori about an hour ago, just to check on her, but the way back..." Sahara frowned. "What about it?" Patrick shrugged. "Thats just it, there is no way back. I guess we didn't really think about that, but... easier in than out I guess. The water is too strong to get out."
Sahara felt aggrivated, her blood beginning to boil. After all they had done, there was no easy way out? Surely if they went back, they would be caught, and if they waited here till the next night, they would be caught. Victoria wasn't even there to get them out of trouble. They were on their own, a couple of Shifuto Hiru villagers and a "traitor", not to mention the jintori freezing outside.
"I've got a plan." Patrick spoke up. "When I found out we couldn't get back, I thought of something... especially now that... that... well... Victoria is..." Sahara's eyes widened in frustration. "Spit it out, what is your plan?" Patrick shrugged. "If you were to wear the village shamin clothes, and braid your hair like Victoria, you could almost pass as her."
Sahara grunted. "Yeah, almost. Except that she doesn't have a metal leg and long scar over her eye." Patrick frowned. This was harder than they thought. "Then again..." Sahara spoke. "Those shamin robes cover almost anything. Even the hood darkens the face..." Patrick smiled again, some hope glittering in his eyes. "Maybe, we have a chance then?" Sahara smiled at her old friend. "Maybe."

Wolfgang was definitely glad to see Patrick again, but as the situation went from good to bad, he couldn’t help but sigh in frustration. All that work! And for what? Wolfgang’s mind wandered to the Sabbia and Inori, were they even still alive? Inori had two jackets on, but it would take more than that to warm her up, especially with her hollowed bones. Realising his dark thoughts, Wolfgang stopped immediately, though he knew Sahara had probably already seen them.
“I think the idea is too risky. But it’s the only one we have…” he murmured, crossing his arms over his chest. “While you are acting as Victoria, what are Patrick and I to do? I’m sure there will be a few guards around the village, so we can’t even sneak around and look for an exit.”
He turned to Sahara with a serious expression painted on his face. “There could be another way. If we do this, it leaves you vulnerable if anyone finds out.” But this was Sahara. Slowly, his lips parted and he sighed. Quietly he thought to her, ‘I already know you made your decision, just be careful.’

Sahara looked at Wolfgang and smiled. 'You know me too well.' She thought to him, then turned to Patrick. "You two stay here. If you see sombody coming, hide the best you can. Even if you are discovered, this is the only place that wouldn't be crawling with guards. If somebody gives you a hard time..." She bit her lips and shrugged. "Take 'em. I'll go as quickly as I can, Wolfgang, I'll let you know how things are going."
It was so much easier being bonded. Each of them knew how the other was doing, and could react accordingly. No wonder the elders had created the trials. If just anyone could bond, then there could be whole armies who didn't need any communication. Without another word, Sahara smiled with hope, turned, and ran down the icy halls.
The way back still clear, but Sahara could hear voices echoing off the walls as she got closer to the hut. Quickly, she swung open the door and rushed inside. She turned to find Victoria's clothes, lying on the ground, but there was no Victoria. She sent a silent message to Wolfgang, reguarding the missing body, then went on without hesitation. She would have to worry about what happened to the body later.
Hurridly, she threw the long coats and robes on, careful to make sure they were in order. Luckily, the robes covered her feet entirely, and the hood shadowed her face so much that if she had looked in the mirror, she would almost have thought she was Victoria. The next thing was seperating her hair into two braids instead of one; easier said than done when you havn't brushed your hair in a few days. However, once she was finished, she could easily have been mistaken as Victoria.
The rest of her plan was to gather Wolfgang and Patrick, but that suddenly changed as she heard shouts coming from outside. Out of fear and curiousity, she slammed the door open. Two strangers in Location guard uniforms ran up to her, and she had to remind herself that she needed to pull this look off. "Lady Raasha-" One breathed, his hair a pale blonde. "Intruders."
"What?!" Sahara spat, more scared that they had discovered Wolfgang and Patrick than anything. She knew that it couldn't have been them, because otherwise, Wolfgang would have told her that they were indanger. She would have known. The second Shifuto Aisu Location Guard spoke up. "Winged freaks!" Was all he could speak, his long grey hair covering his eyes.
Winged freaks? Sunahanes? Or Jintori? The men answered for her. "A whole flock of people, with wings. You are the only one who knows of the strange ways of this world... what are they? What shall we do?" Sahara had to think fast. So, it were the jintori, but were they Bonzo's flock, or another? Either way, it was good news for her, and bad news for Shifuto Aisu.
"Jintori." She breathed, trying her best to mimic her sister's speech. "Weapons made from the bastards from Shifuto Hiru!" The two men looked shocked. "Wha-what do we do?" This was too easy. "Get all the guards! Every one of them! They are not here to take over, but to destroy! Capture them, but do not kill them! We-I need them, so that I may study them, so that we may have weapons to take the skies!"
The two location guards looked at each other, then back to who they thought was Raasha. "Capture them?" Sahara growled angrily, like she had seen her sister do time and time before. "YES! AND IF I FIND ONE DEAD, I SHALL KILL YOU MYSELF!" The two guards backed up, stuttering. "Y-ye-yes ma'am!" Sahara bit her lip, but hoped that they had not seen it. "I too shall go after them. If there are desert jintori, then there must be masters here too, for only human masters from Shifuto Hiru can control them. I will hunt them down. This will be a victory for Shifuto Aisu!"
"YES MA'AM!" The two bellowed in unison, then took off on feet, heading back the way they came. Sahara had to hurry. 'Wolfgang, both of you, quickly, come. Meet me half way. Jintori are here. We are going to trick them into thinking that I have captured you both. Hurry! We have to get to Inori before the others do!' She thought worridly to Wolfgang, then began rushing down the icy path.

Wolfgang could feel Sahara’s thoughts and emotions of panic rush through him. He quickly turned to Patrick, “We have to leave. Sahara said that they are looking for us-- we’re going to act like her prisoners and meet her half way.”
He wasn’t sure what Patrick’s reaction would be, an odd feeling now since he and Sahara were bonded, but continued to briskly walk up the path. He pressed his hand to the icy wall, staying to whatever shadows the ice possessed. Though they were only ordered to be captured, something told him being captured by Sahara would be a lot less painful then with the Shifuto Aisu location guards.
‘Sahara, you said they spotted Jintori? That couldn’t possibly be…’ Bonzo. ‘And what about Inori? We can’t reach her, but if the location guards do, they could hurt her.’ He looked back to Patrick, he would be livid if that happened, though he wasn’t even sure what state Inori was in at the moment anyways.
Wolfgang continued to walk up the path, but pressed himself close against the icy wall as a guard passed by. Luckily, he was on his way to do something else, and completely ignored the tunnel. Wolfgang could hear guards all around the city, and civilian commotion because of it. This was turning into one ugly mess.

Patrick followed Wolfgang, for once letting somebody else step up as leader. Besides, he was out of his element, and Wolfgang had direct communication with Sahara. He trusted Wolfgang. A quick nod of the head, and he took off in the same direction, making sure to keep up.
---
It seemed to be working. All the guards had run off to where ever they said the Jintori were coming from. She knew that if this kept up, it would be fairly easy to get Patrick and Wolfgang out, and even Inori if she was alright. The only thing she was worried about now was the trouble she was getting the jintori into. Surely, the guards wouldn't kill them after thinking that Raasha had told them not to, yet things could quickly get ugly. Her worst fear was a war between Bonzo's flock and the people of Shifuto Aisu.
She heard a loud noise behind her, and she skidded to a halt, turning her eyes to the scene that was unfolding. There were winged people in the city alright, but they were NOT Jintori. Infact, they looked nothing like birds, just... winged people. A frown crossed Sahara's face, but she didn't have time to think about it. She had to get them out before everything got worse, especially now that the winged people had come. She didn't know anything about them, whose side they were on, how powerful they were... She had to act fast, all of her fears and questions being transfered to Wolfgang.
Finally, she caught up with them. At first, Patrick braced himself, not used to Sahara looking so much like... Raasha. "Sahara, what do we need to do?" He asked. Sahara nodded, swallowing. "We have to go... if we can make it outside, then we will have a better chance, but we have to find Inori and the sabbia, or we'll be trapped here. I don't know anything about the winged people, and well, honestly, it kind of scares me.
Patrick nodded, confused, but trusting none the less. In a place like this, he had to trust his friends, and he had every bit of faith in Sahara. "Wolfgang." Sahara spoke up. "I still don't have a weapon. If something happens, I need you to stay with me. Patrick, you should get out as soon as possible if that moment comes, but I'll need Wolfgang. We're stronger together now, and much, much weaker apart."
Patrick frowned at the idea of leaving Sahara behind, even if Wolfgang would stay with her. "Sahara, I don't like that idea. I should help fight too!" Sahara shook her head, eying Patrick angrily. "Have you forgotten about Inori?! She saved your life, and you love her!" Patrick frowned. He knew she was right, but why did it have to be so hard? Having to choose to save your best friend or your girl friend... Actually, it was a very, VERY hard question. Every thought he had felt before now seemed... wrong, and confusing, and now he wasn't sure his feeling anymore.
"PATRICK!" Sahara shook him out of it. "That doesn't matter now. That situation hasn't come up yet, but IF it does, then you will go. You DON'T have a choice. Now lets go, and remember... atleast try to act like my prisoners if someone spots us."
