Both intrigued and taken back by all that Will had said, he looked at the unconcious Sahara, she had kept so much from him and Inori, had Patrick known aswell? He sighed lightly, at least Will had discovered it, maybe Strawberry wasn't going mad after all...
"I... made a promise." Wolfgang bit down, but this time, he couldn't stop his words. "You're an idiot! You have to stay." He uncrossed his arms and pushed away to the wall. He glanced at her leg, or-- lack there of and then William. His look was no longer untrusting, he had no energy for that anymore. He then looked at Sahara.
"I can tell Patrick and Inori you are here. You can't just do something this reckless on a promise." His voice calmed down, he couldn't let himself get too angry. It was funny... being so angry at her after all the time passed. "Just stay here."

Sahara frowned. She took a deep painful breath. "Wolfgang... After all that this trip has taken out of us, the jintori, the sunahane, Connor, all the pain, all the trouble, and THIS slows me down?! I HATE IT!" She was breathing heavily, but not from pain, but from frustration. "I should be home now! Back in Shifuto Hiru! I just want to get all this over with!" The pain was starting to ease, but the more it did, the more angry she got. "How could THIS happen?! Why?! Why after all that has happened, do things only get WORSE?!"
William put a cold hand on Sahara's shoulder. "I'll never understand you Sahara, why you get so upset, but I wish I could help you." Truth was, William had a problem. The few poeple that knew him, believed him to be perfect. Calm, nice, cute, orderly, neat... but there was one thing he was lacking, compassion. In all honesty, he didn't understand anybody's pain. He never even experienced pain. Not physical, not even emotional. It made him confused, when he saw somebody crying, or yelling.
Infact, he didn't even know what real love was like. In his mind, love was taking care of somebody, making sure they survive and giving them everything they need. It was sad, but when you truly got to know him, he had almost no emotion.
Sahara looked at Wolfgang. She knew he was right. They were both right. But she couldn't stand the thought of being trapped. She wanted to be out there, flying, fighting. Not stuck on an uncomfortable dining room table! She closed her eyes and imagined herself soaring over the ocean towards shifuto Aisu.
Finally, she gave up. "Go ahead. I suppose we can stay here." She turned her head away from William and Wolfgang, ashamed of herself, and frustrated at Strawberry. "Patrick wouldn't let me go anywhere either..." She let out a deep sigh. She hated them seeing her like this... "Take your time Wolfgang. There is no need to rush. I'm stuck here anyway."

Sahara's voice stabbed at Wolfgang, he felt like he had betrayed her. He knew that it was just her free spirit talking, and that being forced to stay somewhere against her will just wasn't her cup of tea. He smirked, hoping he could lighten the mood, no matter how grim his smiles always were..
"Alright. I'm going to get Patrick and Inori now, they should be back." He turned and left, but he stopped in the open door frame, face still turned away to the outside, where the air was crisp and shifting. "Don't do anything careless while I'm gone, alright?"
Without waiting for a reply, Wolfgang strided outside and jumped onto Buskin. "Alright, let's get going. Quick as possible." Buskin rose into the sky and looked around before finding the shore. From there, he would surley find his way back to Patrick and Inori.

After Wolfgang left, Sahara sighed and looked back over at William. "Why did you say that WE kissed?" She asked, bringing back a previous conversation. William put down the mechanical leg and looked at her. "Didn't we?" Sahara glared at him. "I kissed you. Which was stupid. It was a mistake. But you... you couldn't kiss back. You can't. You know that. So just shut up about you and me, alright? That was a mistake. I didn't know... who you were."
William nodded. "Alright, I'll keep it quiet. But... I thought we loves each other." Sahara sat up quickly, too quickly. Pain shot up her side, and she was forced to lay back down. "LOVE?! You thought that was real? Look, at first I thought it was real too, but... you... your not like us. You can't love." William cocked his head. "I don't understand." Sahara rolled her eyes. "Ofcourse you don't William. And thats why I left. I mean, my god! It was embarrassing when it was only me out here with you, and now you told Wolfgang? You had better not tell him anything else. Don't tell him what you are."
William nodded, simply agreeing with her. He picked up the mechanical leg. "Does this one suit you?" Sahara frowned. She nodded. "I suppose... William are you still experimenting with techology?" William smiled and nodded. "I am. I'm close to making a voice box for Gizmo." He sat the leg down next to Sahara and walked over to his small sabbia. "I already made some adjustments to his wiring..."
William opened up a metal door on the back of the sabbia's head. Mechanical wiring and chips revieled the reason why that particular sabbia hand't grown. William had made Gizmo for Sahara when she was ten, and so he was made to be small. William shut the door and smiled. "He remembers you, even though you aged." Sahara nodded. "So did you."
William looked over at Sahara and shrugged. "I've been working on my wiring too." He pulled back a flab of skin on his arm, revieling more wires and gears.
"Sahara... what is it like to be a human? To know how to be happy and sad. And to love?"

"Buskin!" Wolfgang shuddered from the cold air and tried desperatley to hang on as Buskin flew at top speed. Buskin dropped out of the sky, plummeting to the ground and closing his wings, only to open them in the last instant and just barley skim the sand on the shore.
Buskin came to a screeching halt in the sand as Wolfgang tumbled off, he lay on the sad for a moment and grasped the sand in his fingers. "I'll never leave you again.." he coughed, he didn't think Buskin could fly that fast."
"Wolfgang! Did you find Strawberry? Where is Sahara?" Inori, who had been sitting back at camp, defeated and worried jumped to help Wolfgang up. She tugged at his arm and managed to pull him to his knees "Shes injured." Inori dropped him. "What did you do?!" the untrusting look Wolfgang hated so much returned. "She's being taken care of! ...she'll be fine." He looked up from the sand to Patrick. "I came to bring you guys to her. A man named William is helping her." he then stood up with a fluid motion, "We have to go back. Now."

Patrick frowned. "Injured?! HOW THE HELL DID SHE GET INJURED?!" He didn't yell it in anger, but rather fear. He jumped onto Jester and frowned. "William? Who the hell is William?" He glanced around nervously. "Who lives way out here?" He clicked his tongue and became air born. "How do you know you can trust him?! I SWARE if something happens to her..." He clentched his teeth. How injured was she? Was she going to be alright? "I can't lose another one... I can't lose her. Lets go Wolfgang!"
**
Sahara frowned. "Trust me William, being sad, mad, you aren't missing anything with those. I do wish you could know happiness... and love... But maybe you'll get it someday. Look William, if you join a village, there are people there who can maybe even help you out. I hear that Nain Taiyou is very good with technology. I'm sorry your builder died... but he isn't the only one who can help you out."
William took a look at Sahara's leg. The wound was hardly noticiable, if it weren't for the blood stain. "How does it feel?" Sahara shrugged. "Good. It doesn't really hurt anymore." William nodded. "Then I'll go ahead and fix up your leg pretty soon. I'll wait a bit longer just incase... I think you'll like this one. It'll let you move around easier, and it has more flexibility. Plus, it wont shock the hell out of you...."
He frowned. "Why didn't you tell anyone that it was hurting you? Why didn't you tell me years ago?" Sahara shrugged. "At first, I thought it was supposed to hurt... but after a while, I didn't want to sound like a wuss. " William laughed slightly. "I'll never understand you humans."

Wolfgang quickly got on Buskin. He jumped into the air and flew after Jester and Pateick, then eventually flying ahead so he could lead him there. "I wouldntof trusted him, except it seems he and Sahara... They had a thing, or something or other.. I am truley sorry, but apparently her injury saved her life. "
Wolfgang's throat felt incredibly dry, but he managed to yell out when he saw William's small house. Buskin dove again, Wolfgang still not ready for the stomach-chrning speed.
Inori flew behind Wolfgang and Patrick. She was upset that they had only been gone a few hours, and Sahara was now hurt somewhere in a stranger's cabin.

Patrick landed quickly and ran to the door. It was already open, so he didn't mind barging right in. "Sahara!" The house was small, and it wasn't hard finding her, especially with her laying on the table with a strange young man standing over her with a knife. "Leave her alone you freak!" He charged at William. He threw a punch, but William caught his fist. Patrick withdrew his hand, shaking it in pain. "What are you made of metal?!" William was about to agree, but Sahara gave him a quick slap in the arm to keep him from it.
"Patrick calm down, William is helping me." Sahara already had the new metallic leg attached, and William was just working on some final adjustments. Sahara explained to him everything that had happened, but she didn't explain William. "He's an old friend I met after my parents died." Was all she said.
Patrick finally relaxed. He looked outside at Strawberry, who was waiting for them all out under the tree. He frowned. "I can't believe Strawberry would... act so wild." Sahara shook her head. "I think she was just trying to help me... she knew I couldn't leave... She must have run off and come here because she knew that William could help me. please don't blame her." She looked over at Wolfgang. "And I'm really sorry that she used you and Buskin to stop me..."

"Buskin seems fine. There's no problem." He walked into the house, his eyes were downcast. Ashamed. Inori elbowed him out of the way and walked to Sahara, a wave of releif washed over her. She folded her wings before they could break or knock anything off of his shelves. She smiled at William. "You helped her then? Thank you." she frowned at Patrick. She understood why he had been so defensive, but his anger scared her. She turnedvaway from him to look at Sahara. "it doesn't hurt, does it...?"

Sahara shook her head. "Hurt? Me? Nah. It was just a little fall..." Just a teeny weenie little twenty foot fall. She adjusted herself into sitting up. It was the first time she could do so since she fell. William ignored the others and went back to work on her leg. He kept quiet, just like she asked. "Like it?" She asked Patrick. "My new leg. I think it looks loads cooler than the old one..." In all honesty, she wish she had her real leg back, but she wanted to get everyone's mind off of pain and anger.
Patrick smiled slightly, then nodded. "Its alright I guess. A bit... shiny. But hey, maybe when we fly in to Shifuto Aisu, the sun will reflect off your leg and blind them all." He joked. Sahara laughed slightly. William finally finished up and smiled. His face was a bit dirty from some of the grease he had to put inside the leg on some of the gears, but it didn't make him look any less perfect.
"Try wiggling your toes." He asked her. She nodded, and tried to remember just how to wriggle robotic toes. It was all in your mind. If you didn't think about it or practise it, you could never do it, but Sahara was used to robotic legs. She smiled as each of the gleaming toes bents and released over and over. "Looks good. You really outdone yourself William. If I had pants on, you couldn't tell it was a fake."
William smiled. He would have gleamed of pride, if he had any. "Sahara, if it gives you any pain, or stops working right, come straight back to me." Sahara frowned. Did this mean he wasn't going to even try to leave his little shack in the woods? "Alright." She mumbled.
Patrick smiled. "It looks like a good fit... you'll really be able to kick ass." Sahara sighed. "That is IF I can ever get out of here." William began putting away his tools, cleaning them quickly and easily, then setting them in the propar places, everything completly perfectly stacked and stored. "You should be good by morning. Just don't move around too much. Let your body get used to the new leg." Sahara nodded with a frown and sigh. She HATED not being able to move around.

“It’s only a day, at least you have a leg now.” Wolfgang said this nonchalantly as he gazed outside at Buskin, Jester and Strawberry. He was glad Sahara was alright, really he was, but he was becoming desperate. He had to get to Shifuto Aisu, he had to know if they could help him. Would he even make it to another village if they couldn’t? His mind clouded with negativity, the pressure he was feeling against his head was almost unbearable now. The voice was silent for now, but more than his echoes remained while he would be away. He could feel him--it. Slithering in his head all the way down his body. The shadows drapped over him and poisoned his mind. For now, it was only the pressure, at least until he was alone again.
“William, is there any way we could move Sahara back to our camp, or are you going to want her to stay here for the night?” He knew William probably would want to spend time with her while he could, and who was he to stop him. He loved her, he had saved her life. That was it. “Either way, I’ll return back to camp. Most of our supplies is still there-- we left in such a hurry.” He glanced to Patrick quickly, but looked away before he could catch him.

William stopped to calculate things in his mind. "It is best if she is not moved. If you must... she should be carried to her sabbia. If you all want to, you may stay here, though I do not have any beds. Atleast it is warmer inside."
Patrick looked back at Wolfgang. He hated to leave Sahara here, but he also knew he needed to help bring stuff back here, that was, if they decided to stay here. "What do you think Wolfgang?" Sahara glared at Patrick. "Oh sure, ask him, but not me." Patrick turned red, scratching the back of his head. "Sorry Sahara. Its just..." Sahara sighed. "Yeah yeah, I get it. You think I'm too injured to make a propar decision. I fell and hurt my leg you know! NOT my head." Patrick laughed only slightly.

Wolfgang was halfway out the door before turning back. "Well, since Sahara sounds like she wants to stay the night so badly, we could sleep here. Inori can stay with Sahara while we get our supplies." He was being sarcastic of course to Sahara, but he knew that a warmer place to stay would be better, especially if they were suposed to be visiting a village that was made of ice the next day.
++
The sun peaked through the heavy sheets of clouds gathering over the horizon. A sliver of light poured in from the window and near where Wolfgang had been sleeping. He was sleeping on the kitchen floor, wrapped up snuggly in one of the Jintori blankets. The sun slowly moved until it was shining in his eyes, he breathed in sharply and sat up.
He groaned lightly, his neck was stiff from the hard sleep, but it was definatley warm in the house, thanks to William. He looked around, everyone was still asleep. Good. Quietly, he stood up and made his way outside, extra careful the door wouldn't squeak behind him. He had an arm full of his supplies and set it down. Buskin was woken by the sound, and jumped up, fierocity in his eyes until he reconized it was Wolfgang. He settled and walked up to him with a questioning look. He pecked at his arm. "Calm down, I'm not taking off. I just wanted to get an early start." He began packing up and strapped the supplies to Buskin's sides. It was still very early, but he knew the others would be waking up soon.

William had been sitting in a corner all night, quietly sitting, watching and waiting. He watched the others sleep, intrigued by the different sounds of snoring. He cocked his head, wondering what it would be like to sleep, to dream. When Wolfgang awoke, his eyes followed him quietly. He followed him to double check if he was running off, and was relieved to see that he wasn't. He left him to go back and watch Sahara's breathing make her chest rise and fall, a light crisp in her breath.
Very quietly, he moved his eyes to her leg to check on it. It looked good, and she seemed healed. He noted it to himself, automatically storing the information in his memory bank. He stood over her and ran his hand over the air above her. It was warm. He put his other hand to his own chest. It did not rise or fall. It was still. And cold. Sahara was so full of life. And he... he was a machine, though it did not make him sad, or angry. But he did have one feeling, longing. He longed, he wanted, to have life.
He put a hand gently on her cheek. "Sahara. I'll wait for you. Forever." While it was true, that he could not love, he did know that Sahara was his friend. Strangers have found him out there in the middle of the woods before, but none as kind or as friendly as Sahara. He knew something was different about her. "Visit sometime, friend." He whispered, then retreated back into his corner. He sat and watched. And waited.
***
"Wolfgang you didn't have to get up so early to start packing up... you must be in quite a hurry." Sahara said. She had made a complete recovery so quickly. She felt better than ever. There was no more pain holding her back. She wanted to run and jump and fight... but all that would have to wait. She geared up Strawberry, but remembered not to pack too much on her. She was still jumpy around Strawberry. While she figured the bird must have known something was wrong, she did not want to let her guard down, just in case.
Patrick had finished packing as well, and was waiting for Sahara. "Thank you William. For taking care of Sahara, and us. Its good for Sahara to have a friend like you." William nodded. "There is no problem. I don't often have visitors." Patrick smiled. "Well, you fixed Sahara up just right! Perhaps I will come back someday in the future and thank you for real." William cocked his head. "Alright. That would be pleasant."

"No hurry. It's good to see you up, though." Wolfgang was about to say more but both Patrick and William had immerged from the house, so he quickly fell silent. As Patrick thanked Will, he noticed William's expression changed very little when he would speak, but he thought nothing of it. He finished packing up Buskin and walked towards William. "...Thank you, for all your help." he laughed, that was another person he he was thanking and leaving, just as he had done with Bonzo. He nodded, though it appeared to be more of a bow to express his gratitude. Without saying another word, he jumped on Buskin.
Inori was the last to awake, she did so quickly though, it took her abmatter of minutes to follow behind Patrick and William. She began breathing quickly, she had to prepare herself for the cold temperatures she would have to face. "William, thank you so much." her accent was becomming more relaxed with the more people they met, though it was still very strong.

((Im skipping time. Cuz I feel like it. Time skip saves us all))
After everybody said their quick farewells and thank yous, it was time to head to the Frozen Sea, where sea monsters were more than monsterous, and every living human wanted to kill them. Shifuto Aisu was jam packed full of fun. Now rest asured, it isn't that bad, if your not a member of Shifuto Hiru. Infact, it was a beautiful place to go, if you didn't mind the cold. And the people were usually friendly. Usually.
Sahara hugged her jacket tight with one hand while flying with the other. It was good that the jackets were from other villages, but they didn't hold the warmth inside like the jackets from Shifuto Hiru. Her single brain whipped wildly in the cold wind. She wore her goggles. Even though there was no sand out here, the wind was harsh on one's eyes. She glanced over at Patrick, trying carefully not to look at the ocean below her. It was nice that Patrick was taking care of Inori so well. She would probably not have lasted long flying with her own wings. Jester was a strong bird, and thanks to his wing healing up, he could easily carry two riders. Not only that, but the jacket that Inori was wearing seemed to hide her wings well.
Hopefully, those from Shifuto Aisu wouldn't think that they were from the desert. Ofcourse, there was one problem with that... The Sabbia. Everybody knew that when you saw a rider on a sabbia, that meant Shifuto Hiru. "Patrick, how are we going to get into the village with our sabbia?" Patrick shrugged. "We don't have a boat, so we have no choice but to fly in. Hopefully they wont notice us right away. As long as they don't see the sabbia, we should get in with ease."
"Ha. Until they recognize me." Sahara blurted out. She was flying infront of the others, guiding them along the sea. If anyone outside of Shifuto Aisu knew where the glacier might be, it was Sahara. She bit her lip nervously. She knew she was a danger to the mission. Shifuto Aisu KNEW who she was. They hated her more than most people from the desert village, because her father was considered a "traitor."
She glanced around the ocean, with the help of Patrick and the others, searching for some sign of a large hunk of ice off in the distance. She thought about some of the dangers she had heard about around the frozen sea. Most were of creatures in the water, which hopefully they were out of range from. But she had no idea about anything in the air. Perhaps the air was just too chilly for most birds... infact, she wondered how long the sabbia could keep up.
"I really hope we can find some kind of island, or small glacier... We might need to rest before we find the village." Patrick nodded. "Everybody, keep your eyes open." Something below them caught Sahara's eyes. She glanced down, and almost hurled when she caught view of the crashing waves. Below, there was a tiny boat. Sahara guessed that they were fishermen, since they didn't seem to be in any sort of a hurry to get any where.
Patrick noticed what she was looking at and his eyes followed the boat as well. "They aren't looking up... I don't think they hardly ever look up. Not much danger in the skies I guess, at least not what they have to worry about." Sahara nodded, looking back up at the distant skies. "Lets hope they aren't looking up from the village either." Patrick laughed. "Yeah, like it'll be THAT easy."

Inori laughed lightly, hugging Patrick. It was odd flying with something that wasn’t her own wings. She sat on the back of Jester, the wind was just too cold for her to barley move her wings anymore. They were hidden under her large cloak now, she hoped they would warm up before they got to the village. If they ever got to the village…
She looked around for a glacier or island, anything that would help. Her eyes scanned the water, until she found something. It was small, but at their altitude it was definitely large enough to land on. “I think I see an island there.” She cried over the harsh wind, and slowly pointed to the mass of land.
Wolfgang, who had been trying his hardest not to look down as well glanced to the island Inori had pointed to. Thank god. He knew that they had to be careful though, the water was so dark it would be almost impossible to spot anything if it would be swimming towards them. He shivered from the cold as he wiped his red nose. “Sounds good to me.”

Sahara glanced over at the small island that Inori had mentioned. She smiled. "A break. And so easily found. Nice job Inori-" Then she noticed something else. The waters around the tiny hunk of landable land was surrounded by dark seas, much darker than the rest of the sea. "Deep waters..." She whispered to herself, fear beginning to whell up. But she had to stay calm... face her fears. She had to be brave.
"Patrick! I don't think we should land there!" Patrick turned around and frowned. "Why not?" He asked questioningly. "Thats the Deep Waters! See how dark it is?" Patrick shrugged. "Yeah, and?" Sahara rolled her eyes. The poor fool, he really knew nothing about the sea. "The deep waters are the most dangerous waters in the frozen sea! From some of the stories I've heard... its WAY dangerous... even more so than if we walked into Shifuto Aisu screaming 'I LOVE Shifuto Hiru!'"
Patrick frowned. "Are you sure?" Sahara looked down. Shivers went down her spine, though it wasn't from the cold. She couldn't see anything moving down under there... but then again, it was so incredibly dark... "Yeah, I'm sure." Patrick frowned, but nodded. "I guess we should find some place else..." but there was something wrong with Jester. Jester was great at flying great distances at fast speeds, but now, he was carrying two, and he had recently had a wing injury.
"We've got a problem, Sahara. I don't think Jester can last long enough to find another place to land." Sahara glanced over at Jester. He was right. The poor bird was giving it everything he had, but she could notice his odd flight pattern and panting beak. She took a deep breath and swallowed. She knew what Patrick was going to say next.
"We have to land."

After Patrick and Sahara had exchanged words, Inori wasn't so sure about her find. Her stomach lurched as Jester turned and lowered towards the isle (sorry if that's godmoding, last I do of that.). Her eyes scanned the dark blue--almost black water that surrounded it. She knew they had to land though, Jester was looking worse, no thanks to her. She patted Jester's side with her free hand, hoping to encourage him in some way, to thank him.
Wolfgang tugged on the reigns, and Buskin immediatley made his dive for the island. He, like Sahara, was not pleased to be landing, but he could tell Buskin was getting tired and cold aswell. His wings had small pieces of frost and froze dew on them, he would have let him warm up while they rested. His anticipation grew. He just wanted to rush to Shifuto Aisu as fast as possible, though it seemed that the journey was taking longer and longer...

(no its fine, he was going to be headed that way anyway XD )
Patrick and Sahara landed. Sahara stepped off of Strawberry and paced around the edges of the small piece of ice that seemed just the right size for everyone and the sabbia to land with a bit of room left over. It must have recently snowed, because the ice was covered in the snow, which was good, because otherwise, it would have been too slippery for them.
Sahara crouched over the edges of the ice and barely peered over into the water. She wanted to keep an eye out.. if anything came out.. she wanted to make sure she saw it coming. Patrick slid off of Jester and turned to Inori. "Are you doing alright, not to cold are you? Do you need another jacket?" He asked, forgetting that he himself was cold.
Sahara rolled her eyes. "We should be a bit more worried about the sabbia." She left the edge of the ice to check on Strawberry. The bird was breathing heavily and pacing to keep her feet out of the snow. Patrick frowned at looked at Jester, who was doing the same, only seemed to be h aving difficulties breathing. He also appeared to have slight nicks in his beaks and feathers missing, probably from the frozen air while they had been flying.
"Hopefully this rest will be good enough.. we can't rest for too long." He reached into one of his bags and pulled out a few sandwiches. "We may as well eat something. We may need the strength."
