“Yes, I remember.” Wolfgang scanned the area around him, remembering every detail he could. He could feel his heart bursting from its chambers, Sahara needed just as much help as he did, even more. He couldn't leave her, but damnit, that was the only thing she wanted. “Sahara, I--” short of words again. A simple thank you didn’t seem to be enough for these two.
Maybe it was the village, maybe it was the rush of emotions he was feeling at the moment that made him so speechless. “You all have your weapons, but here.” He quickly handed over his own weapon. “If I need to be in the village, carrying a weapon wont serve me any good, especially if I’m trying to preach my reason being there as completely peaceful. Also, it will come in handy, just in case.” He didn’t want an argument or even a protest. He quickly turned around and walked towards the second corridor and out the main chamber. “I… won’t keep you waiting.”
Wolfgang was out, and Sahara was right .The village was mostly empty, at least in area he was in. The entire sight was so much to adsorb, but for some reason even the moon hitting the glacier’s walls, illuminating the entire village in a dim light wasn’t enough to make him stay in one spot long. He kept close to the village walls, though carried himself as unsuspicious as possible. He could feel whatever it was inside him stirring, it didn’t like the village one bit. The voice, however, didn’t protest. He could only hear what he hoped wasn’t low cackling. As he continued dow nthe cey, snowy path, he couldn’t help but for his mind to wander. “That girl is too damn stubborn!” Wolfgang finally hissed out, slamming his fist against the icy wall. It seemed to adsorb any power his hit had, and he couldn’t even make a crack in the wall.
The thought of Sahara injured, sitting and just waiting somewhere threw his entire priorities askew. But, he hadn’t come this far to just turn around.
Wolfgang eventually arrived to a small hut. It was decorated with the oddest things he could only suggest were omens or symbols. The property was far away from any other, but it still seemed some-what welcoming. “Don’t you dare step foot near there.” the voice finally spoke. Wolfgang winced very lightly, it’s voice was strong, but Wolfgang tried his hardest to ignore it. He took a step closer to the house, then a few more, until he stood inches away from the door. He knocked cautiously, but wasn’t sure exactly if that would be enough, especially at the time of night. However, if it wasn’t her house, breaking in wasn’t the smartest idea. He instead knocked again, firmer.
(sorry, I’m not sure how you wanted the Shaman’s house thingy to be, I didn’t go into too much detail.)

Patrick took the weapon from Wolfgang and nodded. "Good luck, Wolfgang." He spat out as Wolfgang took off down the corridor. He hoped he didn't have to use the weapon, or even his own... but if needed, he had them both.
Just as soon as he went to put the weapon away, Sahara snatched it from his hands. "I left my sword with the sabbia. I still have my dagger, but if we get into trouble, I'm going to need more than that." Patrick frowned. "Sahara, you can't fight. Not like this." Sahara gave him a long, hard stare. "Patrick, I can always fight. Or have you forgotten the ways of the desert warriors? Never give up. Even when you are at your weakest... Fight. Because if you don't, you will die." Patrick frowned. He knew the motto of the Shifuto Hiru warriors. He followed it... most of the time.
But now, he didn't feel like a warrior anymore. He felt like a child; scared, and lost. He didn't want to keep heading into battles, sword blazing. He wanted to go home. To go home and see Connor waiting up for him, so that they could go flying again. He wanted to go home, where Sahara wasn't bleeding and freezing. He wanted to go home, where he would find Toku, Arata, Mamori, Meiyo, and Kin waiting for him to show them the new sabbia he had been secretly training for them...
Now, when he was feeling most vulnerable, most childish... Sahara was stepping up. She was badly wounded, probably fighting death, and she was worried about a weapon to fight with. In that dark corridor, the thick walls of ice the only thing seperating them from a mass of enemies, Patrick found himself looking up to her. She had become the teacher, and he realized that he still had a lot to learn.
"Lets get back to the spiritual chamber Patrick. Wolfgang will be just fine." Sahara ordered, limping towards the chamber. Patrick could see that her leg was getting worse. She hadn't been limping before, but perhaps she was just trying to appear strong for Wolfgang. Trying not to think about what was happening to her, Patrick followed.
When they finally reached the chamber, Sahara collapsed onto the icy floor. Patrick helped her over to the wall, which she leaned against to sit up. She looked over at Patrick, and he was reminded just how beautiful she once was... still was. Her light, aqua eyes reminded him of the ocean and its wonder, sparking and glimmering. Her hair was soaked, tangled, and dull, but he could remember back when her hair was full of luster, a golden red that just seemed to float on the wind. She was thinning from hunger, but only slightly, and even though she looked like she was withering away, Patrick could still remember her as her strong, unbeatable self.
Patrick once asked Sahara how she got her name. she told him that her father named her after an incredible desert in a far away land. She hadn't thought much of it, but Patrick did. And now, he knew why she was named Sahara. She was great, untameable. Wild, yet beautiful. She was easily adaptible, constantly changing in the winds...
Her middle name was Tundra. Sahara had no idea why she was named after an icy waste land, but Patrick did have some idea, not only because she had ancestors from Shifuto Aisu, but that there was just something marvelous, something unexplored and yet beautiful in a tundra, and he could see it in her as well.
He didn't care how many limbs she would lose, if she became blind, or if her hair all fell out. She would still be his best friend, his sister, and she would still be the greatest warrior he had ever known.
Patrick wrapped his arms around her tightly, keeping her warm, as any older brother would have in a situation like this. He noticed her start to close her eyes, and he woke her. "You can't sleep yet Sahara. Wolfgang may still need us." Sahara looked up at him and smiled. "Wolfgang... he makes a good team mate, don't you think?" Patrick laughed. "Yeah, I guess he does." They both agreed that it was nice having him around. It did fill in the gap that Connor had left open after his death.
They also kept their minds off of the fact that after this whole ordeal was over, Wolfgang would be returning to his own village. The idea would have disapointed them. To Sahara and Patrick, Wolfgang was a friend now. A companion. It would suck to lose that.
----------
"You're a little late. I expected you earlier." A voice echoed out from all sides of the ice cavern. A moment later, a shadow melted off of the icy wall until it formed the shape of a young woman.
"Although I hear that it isn't easy to cross the great desert and the entire frozen sea on sabbia alone. " She stepped forward and into the light. The form was obviously that of the city shamin, as she was wearing long robes and cloaks that covered everything but her face and hair.
Her face took the form of a very familiar person, and she could have easily been mistaken for Sahara if it weren't for the fact that her eyes were a much darker blue, and her hair was tied into two very long pigtails. Her dark blue eye, very odd for a naturally born citizen of Shifuto Aisu, looked Wolfgang up and down, inspecting him.
"You aren't what I expected, but it'll do." She smiled softly, her bright red lips sending a beacon of piece. "Do not fear. I am the city shamin. Most call me Shamoness, but seeing as how you are not from Shifuto Aisu, and there for do not know all of our terms and words, you may call me Raasha."
She circled Wolfgang, continuing her inspection. "I usually take the form of somebody trustworthy to my customers. Tell me, do I look like her? Or do I look like me?" Without even waiting for a response, she fluttered her hand, and the door to the strange hut swung open.
"Come inside. I have much to explain, and you have much, much to learn." She whispered as she beconed him inside, and she disapeared into a puff of mist.

Wolfgang felt himself tense up as he walked into Raasha’s home. He was also surprised, and had to do a second take when he saw the similarity in her face to Sahara’s. It only confused him further when she asked if she looked like “her”. Did she read his thoughts just then? As she disappeared into a puff of mist, he knew he wasn’t in the dessert anymore. He had never been to such a mysterious village, and the only shaman he had encountered before her was not at all trustful. Though… was she? He could only believe she would be, but not let himself be fooled by her face.
Even though she had disappeared, Wolfgang knew she was around. He could sense her, or whatever aura she carried. He took another glance around the mysterious room as he entered, nothing like his old home in Taikai Ueki. It was plain as day, probably collecting dust now … Or sealed off. Burned down, probably. To him, though possessions never meant much, unless it was a gift.
“If you know me, and are expecting me, then you must know exactly what I’ve come to ask…” He felt slightly foolish, talking to air, but he knew that she must have been around. Wolfgang stood awkwardly for a few moments, waiting for a reply. Or for her to appear and scare the hell out of him.

"Hmmm..." The voice echoed around the house as the door slammed shut, and Raasha reappeared infront of him. "Perhaps... Perhaps." She spun around on her heels and motioned towards what appeared to be an elk hide sofa. "Sit." She commanded him, just as an impossible wave of wind struck him in the back. "We don't have too much time to do it, and it wont be easy."
She vanished again in the same mist she had before, but reappeared quickly in the chair next to the sofa. "Wolfgang, sitiuations are dire." She vanished again, and reappeared right in front of him, poking him in the chest. "In your heart..." Vanish. Reappearing in the chair again. "And in the world." She held out her hand and a strange object emmediately flew from a small desk to her open hand.
"And if we are to save her...we must be quick." She looked over at Wolfgang, her dark blue eyes piercing him. "How is she? Sahara?" She turned over the object in her hand and stared into it. "Not good. Not good." She answered herself. "Stubborn thing." She rose to her feet, finally deciding to walk instead of using her poof teqnique.
"Sahara... she is my sister you know." She turned around and smiled, her white teeth reflecting more light than the ice did. "She is full of secrets that one. Not by her choice mind you. NOW! LOOK!" She gazed into his eyes, scanning their features. "Tell me everything you know. I have been watching you as of late, but I do not know everything." She peered into his pupils, as if scanning his brain.
Slowly, she stepped forward and touched her fingers to his forehead. "So tell me. Do I look like her? Or like me?" She did not release her gaze. "Although there is not much difference. I am her twin sister after all."

Wolfgang couldn't look at her eyes for too long, his temple burst into a sharp pain, and he quickly turned away. Whatever her aura or power she carried, it wasn't appreciated by some beings. Once the pain settled, he turned to her again, without starring at her eyes. Everything she had said confused him, he had to think for a long moment about it. What did she mean 'situations are dire'?
Wolfgang sat on the couch, utterly perplexed by his situation. The fact he was sitting didn't seemed to help, or the fact the girl could never stay in one damn spot. And now she was saying she was Sahara's sister? Wolfgang narrowed his eyes and studied her face for a moment, trying not to lock his gaze with hers. Finally, he let out a short breath. "You... don't look like her."
With that said, he was able to lean back. "You look similar, but Sahara has her own features..." he was about to name the few, but suddenly he became aware of what she had said earlier. "Wait. She's in trouble? What do you mean?" He sat up quickly, hoping the woman would step a few paces back. She surley was odd, but Sahara had warned him... and to think, they were siblings all along. No wonder she didn't want to come with him.
"She's hurt, in the ice cavern. Is that what you mean?" He let out a frustrated breath and looked to the door. "I shouldn't of left her. But if she's with Patrick, she should be fine..." He quickly turned to Raasha again. "Enough... riddles, can't you just tell me what you know?" He loosened his shoulders, his eyes screamed desperation. "Please."

"HUSH!" Raasha nearly shouted at the top of her lungs, shaking a few of the lighter items around the house. "Do not reveal her location." She glanced around at the many odd objects around her house. "The walls have ears..." She snapped her glanced back at him. "You are too frustrated with your situation." She twiddled her fingers over his head. "Relax." She whispered.
She turned and hurried to a tattered dresser with cloths hanging out of its many drawers. One drawer even had what appeared to be burnt boxer shorts hanging out of it. If nothing else, it was clear that Raasha had no intention to throw things away, or even try cleaning up. She ripped a drawer from the dresser and dumped its contents onto the floor.
"Something... blue... no green. Silver?" She seemed confused about what she was looking for, but after a quick moment, she reached down and pulled a small black feather from the stash. Quickly, she turned and headed back towards Wolfgang. "If this feather turns red... no orange... wait..." She came to a dead halt infront of him.
"Do you want information? Or help?" She peered into his eyes. "No, you want both. It wont be easy." She held the feather to his forehead with two fingers. "Steady now." She whispered, keeping her eyes on the feather, not even blinking. Finally, after about five full minutes, she released the feather. "Odd..."
She backed up and let herself fall into the chair, still watching the feather. "Its still black..." She glanced over at the pile of junk she had left on the floor. "Perhaps it is just a raven's feather..." Just then, the edges of the feather began to turn grey, then white, until finally, they seemed to loose all color together, and faded away. After just moments, the complete feather was gone.
"Now I'm sure it was supposed to turn red." She said as she continued to watch the space in her hand where the feather once sat. She snapped her gaze to Wolfgang again. After a few long minutes of just staring, she blurted out her discovery.
"I cannot help you."
Slowly, she rose in her chair. "There is one who can." She shook her head, in disbelief. "I was never to tell... but I must..." She walked over to the corner of a room, where a candle was lit. She covered it with her hand until the flame went out, and the room became dark. Suddently, a flash of blue light came forth from her hands, illuminating the room with a dim light.
"Now we are truly alone. I will tell you the information you seek. For to know, is to be helped. It is all I can do." She dragged her feet over to her chair, but she didn't sit. Instead, she just stood infront of it while she spoke.
"There was another. The shamin before me. Haarsha. Haarsha was young. Very young, and the village expected too much... Haarsha betrayed the village by leaving them. That was when I stepped in, but I was never as good as Haarsha. Haarsha was born with an incredible power that even she was not aware of."
Raasha stopped and glanced around. The blue light grew a bit stronger so that she could see a bit better. "Situations are dire." She looked at Wolfgang. "In us all." Her eyes seemed even darker in the dim, icy light. "The world we live in is a much darker place than it used to be." She stared into the ball of light eminating from her hands.
"Sahara is dying." She finally blurted out. "You leaving her had nothing to do with that." She turned her eyes to him. "So you do see me then? Well, then you are truly special, for most I deal with has seen another. But tell me, why is Sahara so important to you? She is a warrior of Shifuto Hiru." Her voice seemed to grow colder.
"Besides, you have led to one warrior's demise. What would be the difference of leading her to her death as well? Do you know that she had been lying to you? She holds secrets that you couldn't imagine. She hides from you, from everybody. She has no one left, except for Patrick Da'Shaun, and ofcourse, he has found somebody else to rely on. There is no logical reason for you to continue to care for my sister. So tell me, why do you? Or do you at all? She could die while you wait here."
Her eyes seemed almost black by now. "That is all you must do. Wait here. And she will be no more. And Shifuto Hiru will have one less warrior to worry about. You are from Taikai Ueki, no? A rather dark city... full of dark hearts. Perhaps you have a terribly dark heart as well. Listen to me now. Let her die."
The light went out, and the hut was completely enshrouded in darkness. "Or..." Raasha's voice erupted from the darkness. "You could save my sister." The candle went on again, illuminating the whole room in a white light. Raasha was now standing infront of Wolfgang. Her blue eyes back to their normal selves. "Only Haarsha can save my sister. Only Haarsha can help you." she layed her hands on his chest, just were his heart would be. "You have had a bit of a rough past. That thing that controlls you... no. You control it. Always remember this." She looked into his eyes.
"Pain is only earthly. Temporary. And you will feel it much in your life. But you have to learn to control it. Only by sharing your burden with another, may you be able to control it. Know this. Sometimes, there will be people in your life who seem weak. People who are lost. People who have had everything taken from them. But they are the strongest of all. For they know pain, and they can take more pain."
"Wolfgang, you must discover Haarsha. The shamin before me. Haarsha is strong. You must not be afraid to put some of your burden on Haarsha. Find Haarsha, and bring her to me. I will bond you together. This will reduce your pain greatly. Unfortunately, this is all I can do for you. Ofcourse, it will give Haarsha the pain too. Bring her to me, and I will explain that to her. I am sure she will be understanding."
"know this Wolfgang. By bonding the two of you together, you will be able to control it, to use it. It will not harm you or anyone you love anymore. But you and Haarsha will be bonded in mind and heart. You will know what the other is feeling. You may even feel that way too. It is your decision. But first, you must discover Haarsha. Go to the spiritual chamber, and call out her name. She will respond. Then carry her to me."

Wolfgang’s dim grey eye widened . Help him and Sahara? “Haarsha…” his thoughts seemed to swirl around her last few sentences, and he could not see another way around it. He asked for her help for a reason. “I’ll do it. But where is it? The Spiritual Chamber?” Something inside him filled with hope, maybe it was Raasha’s words, maybe because he realised he would finally be free.
“As for Sahara…” he murmured, referring back to what she had said earlier, “I took a friend away from her and Patrick. I owe them everything. And…” his face had darkened; he had to force out his next words. “I have to save her in any way I can, I just want her to be happy, she seems so.. empty.” He wasn’t sure where his words were coming from now, but no matter, he couldn’t stop.
“If I do this, if I… bond with that shaman and she takes away Sahara’s and my pain… Then I can leave. I‘ve hurt her enough already, look what coming here in the first place has done to her!” With that off of his chest, he gave a sharp inhale and locked eyes with Raasha. “Now. Where is the Spiritual Chamber?”

Raasha vanished in another of her magic trick, and appeared behind Wolfgang. She put her hands on his shoulders and leaned in to whisper in his ears. "The spiritual chamber? Didn't you get in through that way?" She grinned. "Go back the way you came. There is something you missed. Someone you missed."
She let go of him and turned away from him. "As for my sister..." She glanced back at him. "Do not be so suprised if you find out she is stronger than you know. You still have much, much to learn before this impossible journey is over. And perhaps... it shall never be over. I couldn't tell, I'm no pshycic."
"And yet still...." She turned back to him. "Well. Remember my words. Those who know pain, no longer fear it. Someday, they shall take away the burden of many, yours is just the beginning." Her eyes squinted slightly while staring him down. "Be warned. Call out the name Haarsha, and a world of mystery will open itself. Ignore the secrets, and you will be consumed by them. Bond with Haarsha, and your life force will also be bonded. If Haarsha dies, you die. If you die, Haarsha dies. There for, you must protect one another."
She stared him down, the heaviness of her presence upon him. "I have warned you. And now that you are armed with this knowledge... go. Choose your own path. May the seeds of destiny plant a bountiful harvest."
A gust of mysterious wind blew, opening the door. Raasha held out her hand. "If you do decide to return... try to bring back a raven's feather. You do owe me one." She grinned, her teeth once more reflecting the bright light from the outside of the hut.

"the way I came?" Wolfgang felt foolish in not realizing that the ice cavern was in fact the spiritual chamber. He took a few steps towards the door, but turned before leaving. "I'll bring Haarsha back. Please wait. And... Thank you." He then quickly left the odd hut and broke into a quick sprint down the icey path. He had tried to be stealthy before, but with new knowledge in mind, he knew he didn't have much time left. The streets were still calm, and the moon still bouncing off the ice. However, nothing seemed like before. Would bonding with this shaman truley help? He could only pray...
Wolfgang's breathes escaped him in small clouds, but he tried to surpress them, just incase someone was in wait. He had made it to the tunnels where Patrick, sahara and he had parted before. Now I'd only he couldremeber which way. He swayed on his feet, glancing at the different directions that faced him. The voice in his head whispered to him directions. The pain however seemed numbed. He ignored the voice's advice and followed his gut instinct. there it is. he slowly wandered into the ice cavern, or, Spiritual chamber as it was actually named. He could feel his heart thump heavily in his chest with each footstep echoing off the walls around him. He looked around, and with a releived breath made his way over. "I talked with the shaman. She told me about someone. She can help you and me. Don't be so damn stubborn this time, alright?" He quickly looked to Patrick, she seemed weakened, moreso than before he left. He knew it was from her leg and the bloodloss. "Haarsha!" The words seemed to bounce off the walls with a different energy different from his own. He stood in the silence following.

Sahara was leaning her head against the ice. Help? He brought her help? She wanted to be angry, but she didn't have the strenght. Still, oddly enough, she had the strength to jump up and push Wolfgang against the ice wall after calling out the name Haarsha. "You! How do you know that name?!" Sahara glanced around, checking to make sure they were alone. "Never speak it again! NEVER!"
Patrick stood up and grabbed Sahara. "Sahara, what.. what is going on with you?" Sahara let go of Wolfgang. "I... I just don't want that name uttered around me!" Patrick looked at Wolfgang. "Haarsha? Someone who can help us?" Sahara shook her head. "Haarsha is no good! Not anymore. Who told you about her, Wolfgang? WHO?!" Patrick frowned, trying to calm her down, knowing that she was already in enough pain, and she was losing too much blood.
After a while, Sahara collapsed. Patrick caught her, and set her down against the wall. "Who is Haarsha?" He asked. Sahara looked at him with a snarl. "She USED to be a shamin, but not anymore." Patrick frowned. "Wait... if she can help..." "SHE CAN'T HELP!" Sahara shouted. Patrick was confused. "Why? Do you know her? Why can't she help? You are dying Sahara!"
Sahara's breath was heavy. But she knew, it was time to tell. "My sister gave you that name, didn't she?" Sahara looked up at Wolfgang. "Yeah, I can see it in your eyes." Sahara leaned her head back against the ice. "I need to get out of here... these walls aren't kind to me..." Patrick shook his head. "You wouldn't make it Sahara. If there is someone here who can help..."
"Haashra is not a shamin anymore! She quit a long time ago. She left the city. She fled to the desert..." Patrick's eyes widened. "You mean she is in Shifuto Hiru?" His hope started to fade, but Sahara shook her eyes. She looked up at Wolfgang.
"Raasha... how much did she tell you?" A pain jolted in her head, but she knew it wasn't from the cold, or the loss of blood. Something else was effecting her. "She didn't tell you everything..." She held up her hand to her head, trying to ease the pain. "Wolfgang, Patrick... I am... I am Haashra."

It suddenly made a lot more sense. The reason Raasha knew so much. Wolfgang, like Patrickk, was confused. And though he had just been thrown against a wall, he kept his composure and walked over to Sahara.
"Raasha told me about haashra-- or, you. How you were too young. How people wanted too much from you." Wolfgang tried to surpress his anger rising up, but he just wanted the whole truth from her.

Sahara dropped her head. "It... was a past I never wanted to remember..." She could feel the hot, salty tears beginning to run down her cheeks, but she welcomed the warm feeling, until the cold air hit, and she had to wipe them away. Patrick wanted just as much information as Wolfgang did, if not more. He had been best friends with her for years, and still... he hadn't known this.
"I.. I was born here. Me, and my twin sister, Raasha. My mother was from Shifuto Hiru, but my father was from Shifuto Aisu. The elders thought that they could help bridge the gap between the two cities. Actually.. they thought we could... me and Raasha. The shamin sensed our powers, and... tested us."
"My mother fell ill. They made her ill. My sister cried... but I... I couldn't stand there and watch her die. So... I... healed her. I'm still not sure how... it just... happened. They called it a miracle. Then they began my training as a shamin..."
Sahara took a deep, sharp breath. It was a painful past. But if she was going to die here, they deserved to know the whole truth. "I was five when the city shamin died. And since I was the next one to take over, they forced me to be the shamin. I was five!" She swallowed. "They wanted me to perform miracles. I did what I could. I healed, I strengthed... I... brought a child from death..."
Sahara shook her head. "I hated it. It scared me. I didn't want to be a shamin. I didn't want the responsibility of saving another life. Not when I was five." She shook her head, wiping away a few tears that had run cold. "My sister... she loved it. But she couldn't do what I could... every night... I cried myself to sleep. If I slept at all. I didn't understand why I had to hurt... it hurt you know? Everytime we heal. Everytime we strengthen. It hurts. I was just a child..."
"Then one day, the village elder died. They brought her to me, but it was too late. I had brought a child to life, but only minutes after death. I knew I couldn't bring the elder back. Nothing in this world could do that... but I tried... they made me..."
Sahara held her arm infront of her face, catching the tears that fell. "The spell went wrong... I don't even know what happened... But they told me I was supposed to die that day. Instead, my mother died in my place. When I asked how she died..." She froze. She couldn't speak. She could only whimper. Patrick sat down beside her, putting his arm around her, comforting the only way he knew how.
"when I asked how she died..." Sahara continued. "They told me, that I traded her life in to save mine. She was the closest person to me! I didn't want to die! I was only five! And.. I... I KILLED HER!" She wanted to fall on the ground and just die. But she wasn't done yet... she still had more to explain.
"After that, I left. They called me a traitor. Not because I killed my own mother. No, she was from the desert. They didn't care about her. They called me a traitor because I didn't save the elder. Because I didn't take my own life." She shook her head. "My father, and my brother left with me, to take care of me in Shifuto Hiru, while Raasha stayed to be the next shamin... I just wanted to forget about being a shamin."
"When my brother and my father died, I tried to save them... but I couldn't do it. The ice here... this glacier... it gives me my powers. I didn't have them in the desert. When they died, I blamed myself. And why not? If I had just died, my mother would have lived. My father wouldn't have been attacked by bird freaks, and my brother wouldn't have fallen ill. I was supposed to bridge the gap between Shifuto Aisu, and Shifuto Hiru... but instead, I made the gap wider..."
"I don't remember true happiness. I never had a real life. I've only know pain, and sorrow." She shrugged. "But hey, I guess I'm used to that now. It kinda makes you numb..." Patrick took his arm off her, and set his hand on her shoulder. He didn't know what to say.
"My name is Sahara Tundra Nickshaw. That is what my mother, and my father named me. The name Haarsha means nothing to me now." She looked up at Wolfgang. "But my sister said I could help...what do I need to do?"

Wolfgang was so silent that his heart seemed to speak louder as it tightened in his chest. So this was Sahara Nickshaw’s story. He couldn’t even have began to guess this was what it was, and all the pain she had gone through in such a short amount of time. Like Patrick, he couldn’t even offer a few words of comfort to her. ‘it’s alright’ just wouldn’t cut it. Not this time. Though he wanted to ask her questions, Wolfgang decided against it. Instead, he knelt so he was eye-level with her, he tried to make his voice as calm and understanding as possible, but he still couldn’t help but sound gruff and a bit flustered.
“Raasha told me I am to bring you to her. She said that you could help us both…” Still kneeling, Wolfgang offered his hand to her. Whatever was in store, he only hoped Sahara would agree. “It’s almost over, Sahara. After, you can go back home to the desert. This place isn’t your home. Will you come with me to Raasha?”

Sahara looked up at him. Her eyes were light, almost faded. Just like the eyes of the rest of the Shifuto Aisu people. But she wasn't a Shifuto Aisu resident. She lived in Shifuto Hiru, and they needed her. Maybe she hadn't failed in bridging the gap yet. She was horrible as a shamin, at least in her own mind. But as a warrior, she was happy, strong. She peered into Wolfgang's eyes, as if scanning his mind, just like Raasha had done. "Home... My home is here. Not... here. But here... with Patrick, Inori, and you. Our journey isn't over yet. It wont be, not for a long time." She reached up and grabbed his hand. "I'll do what I can. To help you. You deserve it. I didn't see it before, but now... I see how much kindness you have held in your heart. For your village, and for me." She tried to stand to her feet, but she collapsed from the weakness. "Though... I'm afraid.. I can not walk..." Wolfgang quickly caught her with his arm and held her up. “It’s alright, I have you.” He grunted lightly as he picked her up, she was surprisingly light, despite her robotic leg. He glanced towards Patrick with a thin frown, “We have to be quick. I’ll lead the way, just try and stay hidden.” He looked down at Sahara as his face went a dark shade of red. She seemed a lot more vulnerable as she lay quietly. A lot less like herself.
“I see how much kindness you have held in your heart. For your village, and for me.”
He never thought he would hear words like that. Ever. His reasons for leaving Taikai Ueki were some of the hardest memories to forget, but for some reason, her words made them hurt less. He snapped away from his thoughts, she was running out of time. “Alright, let’s go.” (I'm not sure if you want to just snap to Raasha's hut or not, do what you will xD)

Patrick stood up to follow, but Sahara shook her head. "Not you Patrick... this one does not involve you. I'm sorry." She huffed. Patrick nodded, sadly. He hated missing out on the action, but even more, he hated to see his best friend go off without knowing how she will be, or without being able to protect her. None the less, he knew this was something that was out of his hands. "Be careful." He mumbled.
---------------------------
When they made it to the hut, the door was still wide open, waiting for them. "Come in! Quickly now!" Came Raasha's voice as she hurridly ran to Wolfgang and Sahara. "I'll take her now." Raasha said as she grabbed hold of Sahara. Raasha, just like her sister, was able to very heavy things, which was a good thing, because Sahara's mechanical leg weighed alot.
She rushed inside and lay Sahara down. "You don't look happy to see me." She said with a frown. "Really?" Sahara responded. "I feel ecstatic." She said sarcastically. Raasha put her hands on her leg, feeling the bones and the muscles to get an idea of how hurt she was. Immediately, the blood finally stopped flowing. "You are too stubborn sister." Raasha told Sahara. "Yeah, and you are too creepy, Victoria." Sahara told her back. Raasha frowned. "I havn't heard that name since dad died." Shrugging, Sahara responded, "Well, you have forgotten what your real name is."
Acting fast, Raasha began to clean the wound with a wet cloth. "Sahara, greetings aside, I have business to tell you." Sahara listened, though she already knew what she was asking. Being a powerful shamin meant being able to read minds, atleast a little.
"Your friend came to me, requesting help. I am coming to you, requesting your help." While she talked, she began working on healing Sahara. "While I wish I was the best shamin around, the entire village knows that Haarsha will always be the best shamin. Its why, when you left, they issued a death threat on your head. You were too dangerous, they couldn't trust you. But I knew, I knew that they had nothing to fear. You don't want Shifuto Aisu and Shifuto Hiru fighting, you want them bonded."
"But first, another bonding must be held. If you are to live, if you are to help your friend, you must be bonded with him, in heart and mind. You will be given great pains, Sahara. For the pains he feels now, will be given to you. In doing so, he will be able to control the power within him, and you will gain a great ally. You will also be present of his feelings, and he will be present to yours. You may even feel the same. You will know when each other is in danger, and your lives will be linked. Death to both if one fails. You must protect one another, if you are to be bonded."
She let go of Sahara's leg. She had done all that she could do to heal it, but she knew that it had been badly injured, and there are some wounds that can not be healed. Only time could tell. "Sahara, I have told you the consequences, as I have told Wolfgang. Now I request your permission to continue. I can only bond you if it is the will of both hearts."
Sahara looked over at Wolfgang. To be bonded to somebody? She had heard of it before, but never seen it. The risks always seemed so great. But now, knowing their situations, it seemed like there was no other choice, and Sahara wasn't going to feel bad about the situation. She looked at her twin sister, the "pretty sister" people normally said. Definately now, seeing as how Sahara was missing a leg, with another injured one, and a scarred blind eye.
"I'm not afraid of pain." Was her simple answer, her acceptance of what might happen. She looked over at Wolfgang once more. It was odd, the idea of being bonded with someone that she had been only slightly more than a week before. But she felt like she knew him almost better than anybody, especially now that her shamin powers were returning to her, and she could read his heart.
Raasha looked to Wolfgang as well. "Haarsha accepts. Do you?"

Though the desire to control the presence inside him and to not be plagued any longer appealed to him greatly, he felt himself pull away from the idea. Now that Sahara was here, the idea of bonding with her terrified him. What if history repeated itself? Raasha wasn’t the first to try and help him… If something was too good to be true, it usually was.
However, Wolfgang knew all too well what Sahara was doing for him, agreeing to Raasha’s terms. The pain he felt now, some, if not all of it Sahara would feel, and she knew it. To do something so brave for a person she had met only a week prior?
Friends. The word had meant nothing to Wolfgang, even as a child, his family was the only thing that mattered to him. He didn’t care if he lived forever with no friends. Now, he was willing to bond with one? What had changed his mind so quickly?
“I accept.” He turned to Sahara. “My apologies won’t do you any good, but I must say it one more time. Forgive me.” He gave a sad smirk, or, perhaps an actual smile and turned to Raasha once again. “Please, continue.”

Sahara wanted to reply to him, to tell him that it wasn't neccessary. In reality... she was glad to help. It felt good to be needed. It made her feel like her life was actually meant something. She smiled in response. It was all she could say.
Raasha nodded. "I must be quick, please, open your hearts, open your minds. You will experience a lot in these next few minutes. Brace for it. I shall open a new journey for you both."
She reached out and touched both of their heads with three fingers. Emmediately after, Sahara could feel Raasha's energy transfering into her. She found herself having to close her eyes, and she let the magic take her. she had heard rumours of the experiences that those bonded had had, but she couldn't be prepared for what was about to happen.
"Be careful. If it seems real, it is because it is." Where the last words Sahara heard Raasha speak. Following, she felt an intense cold breeze, and she shivered. When she opened her eyes, she nearly fell backward in suprise.
She could still feel the magic going into her forehead, but she did not see Raasha, or the hut. Instead, she was on the top of a very tall glacier. The air was freezing, but almost comforting. For some reason, it didn't seem to effect her. She glanced around. The air was crisp and clean, the sky painted with dazzling oranges, pinks, and reds. Below the glacier, a vast, rippling sea of beautiful ocean. There was no life in this sea. Nor in the air, or in the snow.
The only living things here were herself... and Wolfgang. They had made it, to the celestial corner. She had heard stories of it, history, but never imagined anything like this. They had taken a trip into their minds, through time and space, and wound up on a glacier amongst an endless sea.
Even odder was her own appearance. Her tangled, dull hair was back to its shining, lush orange red, her eyes just as light blue as ice. The scar on her eye had vanished, and she was standing on her own two feet. there was nothing mechanical to it. It was as if all things that had physically ruined her had no effect to her here.
"This is the celestial corner." Sahara spoke up. Her voice echoed, even without walls. The only other sound was their soft breathing and the sound of gently rippling water well below themselves. "A long, long time ago, the elders created the celestial corner specifically for those who wish to bond their hearts together."
"A person could only be bonded with a shamin, so it obviously doesn't happen very often. They taught us that a bonding of the heart and mind is so dangerous that they tried to prevent it from happening. And so they created the celestial corner. Trials await those who wish to be bonded. If we fail, we can not perform the ritual again."
"In order to pass the trial, we have to keep our minds connected. We have to work together. It is test, Wolfgang. and if the stories were true, then they aren't so easy. Like I mentioned before, the trials were a way to keep people from bonding together. Only when a person passes do they have the right to be bonded. When that moment comes, I must bond us together."
She looked at Wolfgang long and hard. Hearing about it was much different than seeing it. but even though she wasn't sure what awaited them, she was confident. She wanted to go on, to complete it. She needed to feel needed, to be helpful, even if that meant long lasting pain. She didn't care.
"Are you still sure you want to do this Wolfgang? There is no backing out once the trials begin. And even I do not know what awaits us."

As reality seemed to slip away, Wolfgang could hear the pressure of the voices, trying to pull him back to the hut, to where he couldn’t escape. However, he did wake upon the glacier with Sahara, it seemed like he was dreaming, the colours, the feeling within him. Everything seemed so… nice He was shocked too when he looked at Sahara. She looked like a normal girl now, he could only wonder if…
He tried to look up at his own hair. Dark brown. That was it’s original colour before he had been cursed, it seemed surreal to have it back for now. All the pigment from his skin, hair and eyes seemed to die after --whatever it was-- had entered his body. His thoughts suddenly flashed to his eye. He didn’t realise it before, but the voices were completely silenced now. There was no pain. He knew this was just temporary, but the realisation made him slowly take off his eye patch. Colour. Light. His eyes, which were dark and rich green now scanned every inch of the glacier and endless sea beyond. He finally turned his body to Sahara.
“We’ve crossed a desert. I think as long as we think together, we’ll be able to do this.” He took another look around, however this time he seemed confused more than astounded. He walked over to Sahara, his height on her now obvious as they stood side by side. “It’s almost like I’m dead.” he murmured, almost inaudibly, “or, at least how I imagined death. Silent.” he glanced at her again, trying not to show his nerves for whatever was to come their way. “Now. How are we to get to our… trials?”

Sahara looked at Wolfgang. So that was his true self... She smiled. "Dead? Not even close." She grinned. Her features looked... suprisingly beautiful. Soft, full of life. She stepped up to the center of the glacier, and emmediately the wind picked up, whipping up her silky hair. She glanced back at Wolfgang.
"All I have to do is activate them." She told him, but before that, there was something she was required to ask of him. All shamins were taught. She wasn't sure why, but she knew that portal would not work if their hearts were not 100% in it.
"Wolfgang. You have two choices." She swallowed. She didn't want to ask him, but she was required to. "You can continue on with these trials. They will get hard, very hard. Some will tempt you will painful memories, some will try to fool you, some will try to destroy you. But as soon as the trials start, we will no longer be able to talk. Not until the trials are over. If we fail... not only will your heart never be bonded, and your last chance finished, but I will lose my powers. And I will die."
The wind never ceased while she talked. It continually whipped up, stirring the air around her. But no matter how cold the breeze felt, she didn't shiver. "Or you could stay here. Here, in the celestial corner... we are safe. You will never feel pain again, you will never hear the voices again. You will never again be tempted, or hurt. I would be here too, and I would not have to suffer pains. I would keep my leg, and my vision. We could stay here, and discover the land just waiting for us beyond this sea. We would swim, but never tire. We would eat, but never get full. We would..."
She stopped herself. That was enough. "Wolfgang. decide now. Decide quickly. Our fates are upon us. You are deciding the fate of us both."
