Kyle laughed slightly at her guess, remembering that he had given her that answer weeks ago. However, today, it was a slightly different answer. He shook his head and let out a soft chuckle. "No... I paint you, because out of all Nain Taiyou has to offer, the lights, the colors, the buildings, the history, and all of its residents, YOU are the one most beautiful thing in the entire city."
The words felt odd flowing from his lips, but not a bad odd. A different personality was coming out of him, and it made him smile more. Work didn't seem like the only thing that mattered anymore. Now he had someone he cared about. He had someone that he thought was beautiful. A friend? Kyle had never had a friend before. If this was what it meant to have a friend, then he didn't want to make any other friends. He was glad to have Shizu as his one true friend, and he wanted it to stay that way.
It made him wonder about his job. Or rather, why they wouldn't let spies care for anybody. It seemed completely pointless to him. Wouldn't it make better sense if the spy did care for the person they were supposed to be protecting? It would make them work harder, give everything they had to protect the person. Wouldn't that mean less failed missions? None of it made sense to Kyle at all, but he knew that if his boss found out that he was caring about anybody, in the least bit, he knew he would be in trouble, and that was why he had to keep Shizu a secret. He had to keep her a secret from the world. And honestly, now a days, that was the only secret he loved to keep. It was as if he had a friend all to himself. Nobody else could care for her like he did.
Suddenly, he heard a ping in his ear, followed by a tired voice. Luckily, it wasn't his boss. "Nayk? Nayk are you alright? Your heart rate is up." Kyle froze, but only for a quick moment, then he thought quickly. He reached up to pretend that there was a fly in his ear, and on the tiny hearing device, he pushed a tiny green button.
"Green Light." It was called. When a spy was in a situation where they needed complete silence, the green light button came in handy. It would send a signal to the boss, or who ever was listening and monitoring the spy, letting them know that all was fine for now. Spies often used the green light button when sneaking around, or getting a closer look at things, when making a sound could be deadly. Just the same, there was a red light button that would signal that there was danger, and the spy needed assistance. The observer would then switch to listening mode, where they could hear all that was going on, and decide for themselves if the situation needed personal assisstance, or verbal guidance.
The observer had obviously gotten the green light signal. "Sneaking around again Nayk? Alright, just remember to red light if things get nasty." Then with another ping, the voice faded away, leaving Kyle and Shizu alone.
'My heart rate was up?' Kyle thought to himself. 'What could have caused my heart to beat faster?' He asked himself, as if it perplexed him. He shrugged it off. After all, it wasn't a scary heart beat. It was actually rather...nice. He smiled to himself, silently hoping that his heart rate would never go back down to normal.

Like the so many times before, Shizu’s pale faced cheeks changed color. Only this time darkening in color. Forcing her to look down at her pumps and hide her gaze and flustered face away from Kyle. His words getting caught up in her ear drums and vibrating over and over again into her skull. She had learnt this over the few weeks without Kyle saying anything. That the painter saw her as something beautiful. For who would paint something for so long that wasn’t? But hearing the painter actually say those words. “YOU are the one most beautiful thing in the entire city.” it made Shizu blush more than ever and make her heart flutter like stomach pains that people usually called ‘stomach butterflies.’
Quickly Shizu brought her hand to her face again. Pressing her cold finger tips againsted her hot cheek to try and bring them back down to that sickly pale white. She could even hear the sound of her heart beating in her ears. Shizu would only hear that sound after hours of non stop running, where her body was trembling from the amount of stress if had been put under and her legs would tremble and plead for a rest. If it was that situation, Shizu wouldn’t fear the sound of her heart beating so fast. What was it brought on by? Kyle’s simple words were just another form of flattery that she had grown use to blushing over but this was ten times as worse. The assassin’s silver orbs glanced up towards Kyle though the strands of her hair, watching him swish away a fly. Well that’s what it looked to be. She would have to open her mouth. Hoping something stupid didn’t leave her lips. But then again. Acting as if you had just been slapped across the face with such a powerful emotion was no better.
“I think the smell of paint has gotten to your brain cells, Kyle.” She teased, well at least tried too. Rubbing at her cheeks before looking up at him. Trying not to show how… weak she was to his words. Something inside her said it was okay to be weak around Kyle. But if Kyle could make her smile all the time. He could also make her weak all the time. An assassin was not weak.
“You’re too good too me… My family would have your head for that.” She explained. Literally she found herself mentally correcting. It was her fathers orders for Shizu to never have anyone to care for or love outside of the family. He wanted her to be the leader, just like he had been. The family would do what ever they could to make sure her fathers orders, dead or alive, where upheld. It scared Shizu to have these weak feelings for Kyle. Even if she was not sure of their true origin or emotion. And even if she didn’t want to give up that feeling. It still scared her.

Kyle shrugged, slowly and sadly putting his paints away. He looked back up at Shizu and smiled, finding that tiny gleam in her eyes. "This paint is non toxic. Believe me, it is not at all changing the way..." He paused. He was about to say 'the way I feel about you' but.... how did he feel? He liked her. He liked being around her. She was cool. He liked painting her....
He liked her. He swallowed, but the lump in his throat stayed put. You're too good for me... My family would have you head for that. He heard her say. He doubted that anyone would have his head anytime soon... but his focus went more towards the first part of her sentence.
"Too good to you?" He shook his head. "I'm..." He thought about it. He thought about what he was to her. A painter. Not a super cool spy on a mission, not a butt kicking, no-scope sniping badass. Just... a painter. It made him feel a bit... lame, in a way. "I'm just an artist. All my paintings wouldn't be worth a thing if you weren't painted into them. I wish there was more I could do for you."
He paused. Perhaps he needed to break it off now. Just quit painting her all together. Forget her name, forget her face... she was dangerous. Not in the way an assassin would be (lol), but the way a distraction would be. He was a spy. His whole life was a mission to protect his city. He was a killer and a lyer, without feeling even a little regret. And the worst thing was, is that he KNEW who those people were. He knew their whole lives. Who worked for them, who they slept with, who their family was...
But he had orders. And at this moment, he was disobeying them. He was torn between his cold hearted brain, and his warm hearted feelings. He wasn't supposed to care. At the moment, he wasn't sure why, but that didn't matter. What mattered, is that if his boss found out that he was even talking to this girl, he would be marked as a traitor. He would be killed.
And here he was, caring about nothing but himself again. Normally, that was the whole point. He was important to the city. He had to survive. But now, he felt a little... bad about it. It was as if he was just starting to realize that he wasn't the only thing on earth that mattered anymore. Never in his life had he felt more regrets than he did at that moment, and it hurt. He had been shot before, had been electricuted, and even stabbed thirteen times, luckily surviving all, but he had never been hit in the heart, and that was obviously a soft spot.
"But your family never has to know. I mean, look at how long we have been together!" He decided to change the wording a bit. "Look at how many times we have successfully gotten away to paint you, and not a person knows but us. If it is that big of a deal, then they never have to know!"
Know what? At first, he thought he was talking about painting, but now, it had gone way past that. The truth was, he really liked this girl. He didn't know what love was, infact, he wasn't even sure he would ever know. But atleast he knew he liked her, in some way, and he didn't want to give that up.
He looked down at the painting and frowned. "You know...I've painted so many of these, but they aren't enough. I don't even want more paintings, they aren't good enough. They don't even come close to making me feel as good as it feels to just... be around you. I'm sorry... I've..." He put his hand to his head, feeling a bit of pressure in his skull from all the thoughts. "honestly, I really wanted to paint you because you were interesting. I only asked to keep painting you to be around you more, to get to know you more, and to try to capture all that hidden beauty, but it is impossible. I can't just... paint you anymore without telling you that."
It was scary. For the first time, he felt real fear. Not life endangering fear, but... fear that he had said the wrong thing to her. Or fear that she wouldn't "like" him back. Or worse, that she wouldn't let him paint her anymore, or be around her anymore... That would be torture. For the first time, he had something that he could see and care about every day. An element of...routine.... and he did NOT want to lose it.

Hearing such words leaving Kyle’s lips left Shizu’s head spinning slowly and her stomach twisting. She tried not to show the worry and confusion on her pale and pink face, just his words created the ringing sound in her head. Shizu at first thought she was sick or something. Like the nervous pain in your stomach when you know something is going to be bad. But she had nothing to be nervous about, and Kyle’s words of flattery were things she had heard before. Yet the way he hesitated made her feel something, even if she didn’t feel it. Or know she knew that the feeling was without knowing it. The feeling of liking, being attracted to, or even loving someone had never ever been apart of her routine.
When a word left Kyle’s mouth that shaped and voiced family, Shizu’s first thought was Yoichi. He knew. Just like Shizu knew she had feelings for Kyle. But both didn’t know consciously. Every time they had met over the weeks the assassin feared she would be sitting there waiting for Kyle but only to find Yoichi questioning her on her sneaking. And then Kyle would appear… and Shizu didn’t want to think of what her big brother mite of done.
Shizu knew one day they would have to know. And some of the many even did know. They already knew Shizu smiled more, and her training sessions were long and very secretive. She wondered if they knew about the paintings under her bed. Or wondered if they knew how she felt towards him… How did she feel? Maybe if she knew Kyle had wondered the same thing she would be less fearful of the answer.
Watching Kyle frown made her shift her light weight. At his first few words Shizu feared, for what ever reason, that Kyle could not see the muse in her any more. But the final words that came out made her stomach flip and the butterflies began to flutter and her heart beat was echoing in her ear drums. To know Kyle painted her because she was more of a pretty face and that he painted her just to… be near her. It made Shizu feel special. Not special like knowing she was the heir to her clan, or special that she was top of her class in university. It felt better then everything that made her special put together.
Shizu had never gained a friend outside of her family… or how ever she really felt for Kyle. The assassin realized this now, that she was smiling because of Kyle and that he could actually make her feel happy.
Shizu’s eyes fell towards the cracked floor. How was she to respond? She couldn’t tell him anything. Anything! Shizu wanted to tell him now that her brother was the one who stole his painting and she was an assassin that held so much blood on her clean hands and that she liked him… or loved him. Love was a word that never escaped Shizu’s lips, her farther had told her never to let it. It showed she was weak over something, and to be emotionally attached to someone outside of the family would destroy the clan. When asked if she under stood this she nodded. But now that Shizu felt that sort of feeling, she wasn’t so sure she understood.
“Can I be honest…?” She breathed, only then realizing she was speaking out loud. She looked up to Kyle and the warm colors that created his features. Shizu couldn’t speak the truth. Not the whole truth. “You are… the only person I… smile around.” She looked down to her fingers, pressing her hands together in thought. “You’re the only person I know outside of my family that I trust… even though they would not approve.” Shizu tried to speak as truthful as she could. But there were something’s Shizu couldn’t say and even if she wanted to. They would never pass her lips. “You’re the only person I can… be normal around.” Normal. That was a good word. Shizu wasn’t normal. Neither was Kyle, but in her eyes he was compared to her secret life. To feel normal made Shizu feel human, to feel human made Shizu feel that routine was greater than she could of ever thought.

Kyle was more afraid than he had ever been when her lips parted. He was afraid that she was going to say the worst... maybe ask him to never see her again... But she didn't. She didn't ask that at all.
But something else did hurt. It made him rethink things.
'You're the only person I know outside of family that I trust...' He frowned. Trust. He never thought about it before, nor did he realize he would care about trust so much. Now that he thought of it... it just wasn't right that she trusted him. He was a lyer. He had been his whole life. He was a spy, and spies had to be great lyers. Now, knowing that he felt bad about lying... he was afraid that he might give in, just... tell his secret identity...
But he couldn't, and he knew that. Still, it would just feel wrong lying to her... He stood up and turned away, beginning to walk away, obvious anguish on his face. "I can't... I can't do this anymore!" He nearly shouted in frustration. He took a few steps, then emmediately turned back around to face her again.
He froze. He had never froze in a situation, but here he was, completly frozen. "I..." He glanced down, almost ashamed to speak. "I have never been complimented." He looked back up at her. "I mean, from the people who see my paintings, sure... but..." He felt so much emotions. Emotion that he didn't know what to do with, and it was all swelling up in his head, in his eyes.
"The only one you smile around?" He walked up to her and laughed slightly, though a sad look still stained his face. "You... you should really smile more often." He looked back up into her eyes. He had never been so confused in his life, but at the same time... he had never felt so sure of anything in his life.
"My name..." He swallowed, his heart beating rapidly. "My name isn't Kyle." He took a deep breath. He had been taught his whole life not to feel this way, but the most important thing... was to never give away your identity. Still, he felt he owed her SOMETHING. He wouldn't be giving away his entire identity... just... his name. His first name. Nothing bad would come of that. It was just... a first name.
"My name is Nayk. Nayk... Dameroi. " shit. He bit his lip. He had said too much! But... perhaps that didn't matter. It wasn't as if his name meant anything to this city. And if one person knew, what was the difference? She trusted him... Why couldn't he trust her?
He wasn't sure what that would do. He felt like he had to atleast TRY to explain himself... without letting out too much information. "I'm... sorry I lied..." He looked down at the painting in his hands and realized that he had accidentally signed his name as Nayk, not Kyle. Apparently, he had been wanting to tell her his real name even before she said anything. He looked back up at her. "I just... its a hard story... One I don't want to bring back up. Its too painful." Mainly because if he did, he was likely to get shot... and that would hurt.
"But I couldn't have you trusting me feeling like I couldn't trust you... because I do trust you... but it is more than that. I like you. I..." He stopped, and realized he was making things awkward, and then he smiled, taking a deep breath to relax things, and he felt his heart rate slowly going down. "I'm sorry... I'm actually quite new to this..." He laughed slightly, feeling himself calm down a bit more.
"I want you to know me for me. Nayk. Not just a painter. And certainly not as Kyle. I hope... that isn't..weird."
(( Hey, yeah I decided that I doubt that Shizu would know the name Nayk anyway, so I thought that it would be best that we just wait till Shizu finds out that Nayk has a hit on him to find out that he is a spy and all... yeah... so... whatever XD Sorry for the sucky post too... I was sOOOOOOOOO distracted. ))

All of Kyles-I mean Nayk’s words rushed over Shizu. She didn’t know how she should of reacted after realizing Kyle’s name was a fake and he had hid it from her. Maybe she should have been angry. Both at him and herself for letting herself trust someone hiding something so important. But that word sorry made Shizu expression soften from a slight frown. And as he explained it’s a hard story Shizu couldn’t help but thing the same. Remembering kher father’s limp body being returned home on the back of one of her uncle’s.
Shizu realized that no matter what Nayk would lie about, if he said sorry Shizu would never be able to hold it against him. To be angry at the painter was… impossible. All she could feel around him where happy feelings. Or flattered, with a butterfly turning stomach or red cheeks. There was that other feeling that numbed her heart between her lungs and caused her breath to shake gently along with her finger tips. Although it wasn’t until now that it had finally surfaced with all these realizations.
The more Nayk spoke the more the assassin found that feeling affected her. Behind her solemn expression she hid the affects of the fast and numb beating of her heart. For a moment Shizu looked down as Nayk confessed he trusted her. But her silver orbs flickered back up to him. I like you. How did he like her? How? Did he like her like a friend? Or maybe more than a friend? Or maybe even more than like… love? And in what way did Shizu like Nayk. This unique, skilled, attractive, normal painter. Love…
Her fathers words echoed in her head ”Shizu… one day you will be leader of this clan and you are going to make me proud. But you don’t want to be a weak do you? Then you will have to promise me, Shizu. Yoichi will someday end up finding someone he will want to grow old with. He will put them in front of himself. Because love makes an assassin blind and clouds their minds in battle. Shizu don’t fall in love. Promise me that.” Shizu had nodded, and promised her father never to fall in love and keep her eye on being leader of her clan. But Nayk had brought up this feeling in her, and it made her blind and clouded her mind. It scared her.
She had already lost weeks of training while Nayk painted her. She was going against the clans golden rule. And… she was falling in love. Shizu realized she had to get out of this. It would put her in danger. And worse, Nayk. But Shizu could of never brought herself to leave the painter. He was her only friend. As Nayk’s heart slowed down, Shizu’s kept beating fast. She couldn’t show him his distress. She shook her head, her lime hair shifting along her face. “No… No it isn’t weird. It would be weird if it wasn’t weird. Because honestly, what isn’t weird?” Like how it was weird that even though she trusted him she wouldn’t ever tell him the truth. Or weird like she loved him but was scared instead of happy. “I’ll just have to get use to saying Nayk.” She added. Shifting her weight a little and forming a small smile. He liked it when she smiled.
“Personally, I like Nayk better than Kyle. It makes you more unique.” Shizu found herself saying. Shifting her arms behind her back as she scuffed her pumps across the ground. “No. You’re not Kyle the painter. You are Nayk.. my friend.” She told this to herself more than Nayk himself. She could only be friends with him. Even if she knew inside she wanted more. But still Shizu smiled. Brushing her hair out of her eyes before letting them fall to the picture he had finished. “Unless you can’t part with that painting, can I have it?” She asked, knowing she would have trouble trying to lodge the painting under her bed. But it would be worth it.
Yoichi hadn’t spoken about the painting after the first day she went out to paint. She prayed the reason for this was because he forgot all about it. Hoping he wasn’t just plotting against her silently. She shook it from her mind and looked up to the sky for a moment. Wishing it would rain. The routine weather wasn’t even weather. Because weather didn’t even have a routine. Apart from it being hot in summer and cold in winter. She felt sorry it couldn’t change like her routine had.

Nayk half smiled, half frowned. Friend... Maybe it was best that way. He glanced down at the painting in his arms, his newest master piece, painted perfectly and signed Nayk Dameroi. Biting his lip, he fought the ideas of giving her the painting. One girl knowing his name was one thing, having written evidence was another. But after agonizing dicisions, he relinquished the painting to her. If he could'nt trust her with the painting, then he couldn't trust her with anything, and he DID trust her. Besides, she had mentioned that she didn't want anyone else seeing the paintings, and she had been keeping the others ones secrets so far.
After all his worried, he felt good giving her the painting, because he truly felt like he was putting his faith in her, and that would in time, hopefully, make their... friendship... stronger. His mind traveled back to the word as he let go of his painting. The word friendship. Is this what he felt for this girl? Is this all that it was? Either way, he knew it was best. He couldn't like her anymore tham just as a friend, or he would seriously be endangering himself. It was best... And though he couldnt help but realize that if things kept going the way that they were, he would utterly and completly fall for-
"Nayk! Are you still hiding out? We have a mission for you!" Nayk heard the voice in his ear. Nervously, but carefully, he reached up and "swatted the fly from his ear" once more, showing obvious discomfort in those "pesky flies". The voice on the other end obviously got the green light, because the lowered their voice, despite not being able to be heard outside of Nayk's ear. "Listen up Nayk. We have word that a few high up there officials are coming together to talk about foreign discussions, and we need you to drop in to their conversation. It could have something to do with Kagirinai Arashi, and we need all the information we can get. They will be meeting up tomarrow. You need to find out when and where. And Don't get caught! Ping us when you are able to talk."
The signal faded, and Nayk held back a frown. He put his attention back on Shizu. "I'm sorry... tomarrow, could we take a break from all this painting? It is wearing me out, and I think we both could use a rest." Despite the call from his boss, he would have asked for this anyway. Things were getting too serious between them. But now, he needed tomarrow to focus on his true job. It was time to get back into the game. Things seemed to be heating up.
Nayk gave Shizu a pleasant smile. "Then next time, I can paint even better paintings!" Though honestly, he couldn't care less at the moment if he ever painted again. He thought about taking off, but he realized that he would be leaving Shizu in the dark, and he didn't want to upset her. "Just for tomarrow, then we can meet up again." He paused and looked her over. A swift beating came to his heart, and he calmly relaxed it again. He still had feelings for her, and that was something he could never get rid of.
He put his hands on her shoulders and looked her in the eyes. He wanted to tell her how he felt, but he couldn't. It would probably just mess things up. Instead, he pulled her into a tight embrace. He didn't know what to say, but hugging her seemed to say plenty. He closed his eyes and frowned. "I'm sorry... Shizu... for lying to you..."
Ofcourse, to anyone else, it would seem as if he was apologizing for not telling her his real name. But in truth, he was apologizing for all his lies, his previous lies, and his future lies. He knew that eventually, it would effect them both, and he wanted to get that out, just in case he died the next day and she found out that he was a spy... he wanted to get that out there, that he was sorry.
((sorry Epic Fail Dx))

With the painting in her pale finger tips, Shizu gently gripped at it. For a second letting her eyes fall down to its mirror image of her, taking in the detail of each little blob of green paint to make her hair and the silver used to make her eyes shine. The pink used on her lips and the pale cream to her skin. The reflection was breath taking enough as it was. But to know it was her, and that in Nayk’s eyes she was beautiful, made it even more special to the assassin. Shizu’s eyes lingered across Nayk’s real name signed in the corner, it made her feel guilty for hiding so much from him. But then again he had hid this from him. Maybe it was an eye for an eye. Or some sort of cliché saying her grandma would say to make a point between sibling rivalry or a failed mission attempted. Shizu wished her grandmother could give her a saying for this situation.
Shizu brought the painting up against her chest and hugged it as she listened to Nayk. A short brake between the two would shatter her routine. Even if it was just for a day. But maybe she needed this. The assassin needed to figure out her feelings and figure out how to deal with it and figure out how to deal with it without her families watching eyes of Yoichi’s heavy shadow smothering her with secrets that would ruin her status in the family… It would be hard to turn to a day of routine without sneaking out to ‘train.’ But it was just a day.
His reasurence made her smile a little and press the painting a little closer to her chest. Just for tomorrow. Shizu feared that maybe she wanted tomorrow to hurry up and come and go. She feared she was getting to attached. But at the same time couldn’t stop herself from being attached. When his arms found their way around Shizu, her heart beat began to increase and she hugged the painting to her chest in case he felt her heart pulse against his chest. Now Shizu realized how tall he was and she realized how warm he was. She realized how much she loved it. Then he said sorry again. Shizu knew she could never deny his apologies. Now the assassin’s own eyes closed as she breathed out. Trying to relax herself in his arms just a little. “You have nothing to say sorry for..Nayk” She murmured with a gentle shake of her head.
There was much Shizu wanted to say to Nayk and apologize for herself. She hated her family… she just wanted to tell the painter everything. Not just twist the truth and turn it into a lie. But she could not fail her family. Or her father. She had already broken her promise to him to never feel stupid feelings like love. No it wasn’t stupid. If it was stupid Shizu knew she wouldn’t enjoy Nayk’s embrace like she did now and found herself leaning into it. Keeping her painting against her chest to hide her beating heart the whole time. Fear struck her again to wonder how Yoichi would react to her being so late. They would send him out to search. She didn’t want him to find her or Nayk. Shizu didn’t want her brother anywhere near this moment. “It will be just for tomorrow..” She told herself more than Nayk. She knew she had to go home, and Nayk had to go. But the assassin wished she could follow him home like some lost little girl whose parents abandoned her.
“Don’t strain your hand tomorrow Nayk…” She quietly added as she opened her eyes and looked up to the orange haired artist. She tried to make it some sort of joke but the tone wasn’t able to come forth and Shizu only twitched her lips once and for a second into a quick smile. Just for tomorrow.

Nayk parted from Shizu and turned away. "I..." He paused. He did have something to say sorry for, much to say sorry for. He was lying to her, and no matter how badly he wanted to tell her everything, he couldn't. Maybe someday he wouldnt be so afraid, and he would tell her... maybe she would understand. But right now, he had to lie, and that made him feel horrible. His whole life, he was nothing but a machine... but now, for the first time, he felt human.
Finally, he turned around and grinned at her. "I wont." He promised her, stretching his fingers. "Don't strain your smile." He smiled at her, then frowned. He was getting a message from the boss, and he couldn't just keep pretending he was still sneaking around. "I'll see you.... the day after tomarrow." He promised her as he turned, and sadly walked away.
When he was sure he was out of ear shot, he responded to the call. "Yes boss?" "Ahh, good to see you are finally off by yourself. Have you figured out where the meeting is being held yet?" Nayk knew he had just been asked the mission, but his boss was always an impatient man. "No sir, but I guarantee you that I will be at that meeting tomarrow." "Good, good! Don't disapoint me Nayk. You're our best spy out there, don't mess it up." "Yes sir."
The signal faded, and just as it did, he realized that he must have been distracted, because there was somebody standing behind him. "Nayk Dameroi?" Nayk turned, pulling out his small pocket knife, ready to fight if he needed. His vision took in the dark dressed guy, who seemed about his own age. He was wearing a stylish pin stripped shirt, and unmistakably expensive shoes.
"Who the hell are you?" Nayk growled at the guy, holding up his pocket knife. The guy rose a brow and smirked. "I am... Yoichi. I believe you were just holding my sister in your arms. Put the knife away. I am no criminal." Nayk slowly put the knife away and let down his guard. "You're... Shizu's brother?" Yoichi grinned and nodded. "Yes, I am. And boy am I glad that she found you." He said, his smile curving upwards like a sinister cat.
"I...I am just a painter." Nayk lied to Yoichi. "Oh, I know who you are. Don't worry. I also know that you have been painting my sister for quite some time. Don't worry, I'm happy for her. You two seem to really hit it off." Nayk frowned. "I.. I just paint her." Yoichi's smile widened. "Oh, I know how you look at her when you paint her. You have feelings for her, don't you?" Nayk didn't answer. "What is the matter? You're acting like a rabbit cornered by a cobra." Nayk glared at the guy. "She said... she didn't want her family knowing. That she could get into trouble."
'Too easy.' Though Yoichi. "Trouble? Why would she say that I wonder? Maybe because the last guy she brought home was a thief." He lied. "Infact, I found this in her room... he must have hidden it there before he was kicked out." He pulled out something very family behind his back. Nayk's eys widened. "My painting." Yoichi nodded. "Maybe she was just afraid that the family would not trust you, but you know what I think? I think you should prove to them that you are a decent guy. Here..."
Yoichi slipped a tiny piece of paper into Nayk's hands. "Its my adress. I'm sure my parents would love to meet the boy that little Shizu has fallen in love with." Nayk flipped the paper over. On it, was a house number, which he had emmediately recognized as a house he passed by nearly every day. How had he not known before that she lived there? "Hey, Nayk, don't worry. I'll even tell them that you're stopping by. What do you say? I mean, you love her, don't you?"
Something didn't feel right. "I... I like.... I mean I think I definately like her... but... love? Love.... I ... no. I.. I don't know." Yoichi smiled. "Don't worry about it. Just come on over. You can think about it later. You have the adress." Yoichi smiled as he turned and slowly disapeared, leaving Nayk by himself, very confused. Something didn't feel right, but he didn't have time to think about it. He would focus on this later, after tomarrow's meeting. Right now, he needed to focus on where those people were going to meet.
******************************
One step... two steps... a little hop...
Today was a good day. Yoichi finally found his sister and the painter together. After realizing that her stack of paintings in her room had been growing for quite a while, he decided to stalk his sister. Often, he got called out for a mission, and had to abandon his task, but eventually, he found them together.
It was too perfect. Not only were there now tons of paintings out there with Shizu's face, but she had fallen in love with someone. If that wasn't grounds for dismissal from the clan, he didn't know what was. With his sister out of the way, he would surely become clan leader. He would finally be the boss. All his grueling training would finally pay off.
But still, he didn't feel completly comfortable just yet. Hopefully he had the painter tricked... but now, he needed to trick his family. It was time he finally got that new room. He would start by being nicer to his sister. Perhaps that would show the clan elders that he was ready to be taken seriously as an assassin in their family.
After a few more skips and steps, he caught up to her. "There you are Shizu." He spoke up with a smile, walking up besides her. "You've been training too hard." He said, showing believable kindness (he had been taught how to lie as a toddler, and he had gotten good at it). "I know you have fallen into this schedule, and I've realized I've been.... more than unkind to you. Why don't you come train with me tomarrow? I'll show you a few things that the elders don't even know."

Even though one would fear the darkness of Nain Taiyou it didn’t faze Shizu and her painting clutched close to her chest. Still her heart raced against it and it made her frown. Her feelings for Nayk were ones she should never off felt. It made Shizu feel such shame and she knew in the end she would crash to her knees in the small and un noticed grave yard of their home, past the always grey garden and pasted the small training ring, to the weeded out and little cove of dying trees, imported and trying to survive without the sun. She even knew what she would say. “Father I am so sorry… My head has always been in control of my heart. I have always done what you told me to. You would be so proud of me. I have assassinated so many in the name of good and our family. If you were alive today you could share my moments with me and we could take out targets together like you always wanted too….. But this time I was foolish and my heart gained the upper hand. I exposed the family to a stranger and I let him paint me… quiet a lot. You said never to trust anyone. Never let love grow. But I trust him, Father. Please forgive me. Forgive me because I think I lo-“
Her small body jolted with Yoichi’s voice loud in her ears. Breaking her concentration and creating a death lock on the painting in her arms. Happy to have it facing her chest instead of showing itself to the whole world. “Yoichi!” She almost yelled. Both out of surprise, rage for being shocked, and a deep fear. “You scared me..” She sighed. But it wasn’t what was really scaring her. It was because his lips were pulled up into a smile. It caused her lips to fall down and her eyebrows to do the same as a soft frown.
Already the assassin found her brothers actions so strange. It was just not a coincidence he had appeared while she carried Nayk’s painting in her arms. But maybe he was telling the truth. Or maybe she was too trusting. When her brother told her of being able to show things even elders didn’t know, Shizu laughed lightly. Looking towards Yoichi with their matching colored eyes. “And what would that be, Yoichi? How to pick out the most expensive shoes and spending the families money?” She questioned her brother, raising a small eyebrow as she kept herself a few steps a head in hope he wouldn’t question what was in her arms.
But then she remembered peering into Yoichi’s childhood room(when he was probably off invading her own room) and feeling pitty for her poor brother. Maybe he… really was trying to be nicer. “Tomorrow…?” She then questioned. Was that a coincidence. Maybe it was. Maybe if she agreed she would find if it was. Or maybe it was going to be the worst thing she ever did. But… agreeing to let Nayk paint her was already her worst choice ever. Her heart beat was the result. “Yeah… sure Yoichi. Why not. We have to at least have some sibling bonding before one of us gets stabbed.” She explained as she looked down to the floor and sighed lightly. She hoped it didn’t happen to her. What would Nayk paint then?

Yoichi frowned at Shizu's insult, but while his face showed slight discomfort, his mind felt much anger. He had been training his whole life, harder than anybody knew... that was why he was so rarely seen. All he did was train and work. When he wasn't on a mission, he was training. When he wasn't training, he was on a mission. Sometimes a mission would intererupt his training, and sometimes, training would become part of his mission. He couldn't even remember what pain felt like, because he was constantly aching, and it just became a part of him. He learned to be flexible and strong, even with the pain. He was fast. Very fast, and truth is, you don't get that fast unless you train. Hard. And that was exactly what Yoichi had been doing all his life. Infact, his every step, the odd way that he walked, it wasn't only to keep his shoes from being scuffed, it also helped him gain better balance and speed.
So when she implied that all he cared about were his shoes, he was deeply offended. However, he had given himself a new mission. He had to keep Shizu busy. He had to gain her trust. She would be the hardest person he ever had to persuade. She was a ninja assassin, and a good one too. She was trained to detect lies in even the best lyers. And worst of all, she was family. And family are the hardest people to pursuade you have changed.
However, there was one aspect in Yoichi's favor. Shizu was being clouded by romance. The saying love is blind doesn't only apply to the one you are in love with, but your overall senses. As long as Shizu was in love, or atleast thought she was in love, with the painter, Yoichi had a much better chance at tricking her. Well, that, and the fact that he was a really, REALLY good lyer.
His plan was simple. His mission, though seemingly impossible, was on route. He had given the painter the address. There was no doubt in Yoichi's mind that the painter would be too curious to resist showing up. Love. Love makes a great partner when you aren't involved with it. The effects of love can be disasterous... And that was what made Yoichi grin the most. He learned much earlier before, about the effects of love. Everyone thought he would be the first one to endanger the clan because of his love for others. However, that idea had changed drastically after the death of his father.
Now, he had no love. He loved nobody. Not his mother, nor his sister, not the many girls he dated each week while out on his missions, not even his father. He had always looked up to his father, had loved his father, but after his gruesome death, Yoichi's soul was opened to the sadness, pain, and grief that love most often resulted in. And while most people would fall in love with love, Yoichi fell for the disaster that followed it. He became cold hearted, hateful, cruel. Heartless, many that knew him called him. But he didn't care, because he knew that by using love to hurt others, he would be the best assassin.
An assassin completely unshrouded by love. An assassin with a tool more deadly than poison. He didn't care what people thought of him, and that made him great. And even though people didn't see it quite yet, they would see it later on. Yoichi would prove that he was a truly great assassin, perhaps the best ever, no matter what it took, or how many lives he had to destroy.
And so he would wait for his plan to unravel. His sister would learn to trust him, perhaps even care for him again as a brother. The painter would come to the house and reviel himself as Shizu's "boyfriend". The clan would be angered, and Shizu would be out of the run for leader of the clan. While that part of the plan excited Yoichi, his favorite part would be how Shizu would realize that her brother had betrayed her. The clan might even possibly kill the painter! And then she would be alone, and hurt.
Pain. Yoichi's frown broke into a crazed grin just thinking about it. Oh the pain he would cause his sister, the death he would create by manipulating love... The hatred she would feel for him... That was the only thing that could make his heart beat so rapidly, for he was indeed in love with pain and suffering. The idea that he could cause such ruin stirred his heart, and he found himself having to focus on Shizu to calm himself down. Nothing ruins a trust mission like evil, maniacal laughter.
"Sibling bonding... Yeah. That is what dad would have wanted. I promise you, you won't regret it."
Perhaps he was the best lyer around...

Her silver gaze never left her brother, twitching to watch every facial expression, every hand gesture, every single step he made. Yoichi would never slip by Shizu. She would make sure of this. She would catch his white lies that hid monsters behind them. If there were even lies to begin with. When their father bubbled to the surface in the conversation. It made Shizu’s heart ache. She missed her father so. It was the absence of his praise and smiles that Yoichi had forgotten and only saw a weak man in his memories. When Yoichi ignored, Shizu missed greatly.
If only Yoichi was trustful, if only he heart a heart of gold instead of ice that burnt the flesh and burnt the soul inside. Maybe then he would surpass her and become clan leader and she could feel these feelings without guilt. Maybe Shizu would be more free with out his gaze that choked and suffocated. “I will take your word then.” Shizu’s eyes locked with her brothers. The both of them seemed identical twins with un-identical intentions. Shizu spoke as a lie. To take Yoichi’s word was to sign at the bottom of your will and lay down in your coffin. But she would give him a chance. Because maybe that is what their father would of wanted. Because she had to put family first. Because if she took the chance to let Nayk paint her. Maybe chances were meant for good.
“May I ask what sort of training this will be, dear Yoichi?” She asked her brother, taking her eyes of him for a split second to change her direction to their old and large villa house. “It’s not polite to keep surprises from me.” She wanted to say secrets. But then it would be too ironic. She didn’t want Yoichi getting ideas. Hugging the painting tighter to her chest and brining her walk into a skip. Shizu wished she could rid her brother soon. Because if he breathed down her neck anymore she was sure to crack like glass in drastically changing weather. But then again. It never rained or snowed or got cold and Nain Taiyou. There is no routine.

Yoichi glared at her. He was being a good little lyer, trying to trick her into trusting him, but he still wasn't going to act like a sucker. That would have been TOO fake. "You know better than to call me 'dear Yoichi'. It annoys me enough when mother says it." He nearly missed a step, and cursed lightly to himself for doing so. Missing a step could mean scuffing his shoes. Or it could mean he wasn't quite balanced enough. He needed to keep training more.
"I said sibling bonding... but this doesn't mean I'm going to change my entire personality for you." He glanced ahead. The conversation had given him enough time to think of what kind of training they would be working on. "Incase you forgot, I'm not always polite. Even to you, dear sister." He said with a glare. "However, lets just say that you do not need to bring any weapons." He looked at her. "I don't expect you to leave your weapons at home, but if you want to get better, you have to trust yourself, not your weapons."
He grinned in anticipation. "I'll leave my weapons at home. You should do the same, though I can't keep you from doing anything. Its your choice." His grin widened at the training he could work on with her. It was something incredibly dangerous... something he learned himself. If she just so happened to not be strong enough, and she got hurt... well, that would be perfect. Even if she didn't, he wasn't going to teach her everything, just a little.
There was no way she could find herself not trusting him after thinking that he had taught her everything he knew... Well, he would just have to find out.

Shizu formed a smile on her pink lips at his irritation at being called ‘Dear Yoichi.’ Still it was fun to torment her brother, no matter how his personality changed. Her grey eyes fell back to him to catch his own glare. No weapons? It echoed in her head for a moment. To take weapons with her while being painted was uncalled for any more. And if she ever got into trouble, her flash step speed and hand to hand combat skills would protect her. But no weapons with her brother made her feel a bit un easy. But at his grin it felt as if Yoichi was almost challenging her to bring her poison needles or throwing knives. If be brought weapons, and turned against Shizu, she was sure she could of taken her brother on even without a weapon. Their father had seen Shizu as the one with the most talent for being an Assassin.
“Oh, I wouldn’t off needed my weapons in the first place. “ She began with shrugging and scuffing her pumps across the cracked ground. “And I had no intention to think your whole personality would change for me, Dear Yoichi.” Shizu spoke again, just like their mother. “Because sibling bonding cannot exists without rivalry to go along side it.” She proclaimed with a wave of a finger and a gently laugh.
“We will meet after my classes then. Come find me at the university? I wouldn’t want to waste any time when we could be bonding, Yoichi.” The assassin questioned and stated at her brother. Her routine was ruined because of Nayk’s disappearance for tomorrow. Why not ruin it more for a day by not going to the library and training with her brother who she hated? It was just for tomorrow.

Yoichi glared at his sister once more. "I'll be waiting outside. You'll have to find me. We'll see how good you really are. And remember, no weapons, mmk?" He stated. He felt his wrist virbrate, and he glanced down at his watch. "What?" Yoichi glanced around. "I have some work to do today. Apparently, there is some suspicion that a spy has been roaming around." He looked at her. "Keep your eyes open. And I'll see you tomarrow, sis." He said with a hiss, then turned and vanished without another word behind a dumpster.
'A spy.' He thought to himself. 'In my city? Without my knowledge? Impossible. Where are they getting their information?' He climbed a building. 'Well, if there is one here, I will spot him.' He jumped from the building onto another one, and climbed that one as well, continuing until he was very high off the streets, and almost to the roots of the old trees. Slipping inside a small hole in an abandonded building, he pulled out a set of goggles. They scanned the crowds below him, looking for anything out of the ordinary; a heat signal where it doesn't belong, suspicious behavior...
Or somebody just plain sneaking around where they don't belong. It was a slight signal. He almost missed it. There was a spy. He was covered in heat resistant clothing, to escape heat signals, but Yoichi could still see an almost ghost like figure sneaking through an alley between two very important buildings.
He turned up the signal on the goggles, and it magnified the picture. He could see just a puff of hair sticking out from his suit, but that was all he needed. Just a quick glance at a bit of that familiar orange hair. The spy had been under his nose this whole time, paiting the one person who could have stopped him.
Painting the sister of a great assassin. It was too perfect. He wouldn't persue the spy, no, instead, he would go to his elders. Or even better. Shizu herself. She couldn't have known that he was a spy. So how would she react when she found out? Oh the stars were aligning for him. He could get Shizu into major trouble, or he could break her heart. For some reason, he didn't care about his possition anymore. The pure idea of hurting her made his heart beat faster. She would be so broken up. But first, he had to get them closer. He had to make sure that they were both completely in love.
Then, he would tell. And he would watch as the battle began. Who would kill the other? Shizu? or the painter? Kyle... wasn't that his name? No, he must have had a different name. Surely, he didn't use his real name. Yoichi smiled. Heads would roll. He couldn't wait.

Bodies clashed and made contact and it was nothing more, there was no spark of intentions in this or a desire for touch, it was the common routine of the students who hummed like soldier bees with stingers to protect their hive. Shizu didn’t mind the contact and let her small frame be pushed around. A spy, in the city. In her city, her families city. This city with corrupt people her family killed to keep the city safe, but now a spy was a threat and the child prodigy assassin hated knowing her brother was the one to know this before her. She hated it with a burning passion right down to the core of her being. Shizu was left blind when her attention was focused on Nayk, she was letting herself slip up, this was bad.
She gladly accepted the breeze of the un changing weather outside, it was so boring, if only life could be this way. In her bag was the poison tipped needles, hidden away in the mirror case stowed away in a side pocket of the book bag, for she could not trust her brother. Shizu would be ready to press one against the main points of his neck if possible, for she knew whose side the family was on. Even though she had turned her back on them, they still hung off her like blood sucking leaches that demanded family honour and tradition as food.
The graceful assassin’s silver orbs trailed over every object in sight in search for her hidden brother. She remembered his words. We’ll see how good you really are. She hated those words, so threatening, so competitive. Shizu tried to keep herself calm for knowing she would see Yoichi instead of Nayk made her more easy to upset and more easy to enrage.
Swinging her arms in the long knitted black jacket and un weaving the ends with her fingers, she quietly searched for her brother and calmly. She would never let him get the upper hand, if only she knew how much he did. Shizu’s attention moved to the sound of footsteps to find her brothers individual stepping on his expensive shoes. It was then she bounded through the crowds of people she didn’t care colliding with to reach the sounds until she could see her brother, almost twin like, almost family, but there was no feeling towards him for he had a heart of cold.

He could almost smell her approaching. His origonal plan was cut through and take her by suprise, but now he had a better plan. He was going to play out the part of good brother just a bit longer. As she came closer, he stopped in the middle of the crowd and glanced down at his watch.
"About time, sister." He told her just as she found him. "Follow me." He said as he turned and continued to walk through the crowd, quickly, but carefully. It was a long way to his training grounds, and he had a lot to teach her.
As he left the crowds, he picked up his pace. "We are taking a cable car to the bottom." He told her, just as he approached a cable car that began humming as it was powering up to go. He jumped onto the outside and latched himself onto it. He sure as heck wasn't paying any tolls. The humming got louder, and he braced himself. Those cable cars could take off at amazing rates.

Shizu could only watch her brother throw himself onto the back of the cable car, latching onto it like some sort of monkey in the books she had read through. Maybe like the samiri sciureus or the cebus capucinus. There was the sharp feeling in her stomach, the feeling of peer pressure. To be like her brother, like a acrobatically skilled assassin. Or to be the assassin that payed the money and blend with the crowd. Be a chicken in the eyes of your brother, your worst enemy, the one whose planning to destroy your life. Or be smart.
The green haired beauty dug her slender fingers into the side pocket of her bag, realizing she had left her wallet at home with the piles of art. She cursed under her breath and shot a glare to her brother from under her hair. Shizu sighed, shifting her bag tightly around her body and waited for the cable cars humming to be loud enough to burst her ears before gracefully leaping out and attaching herself to the side like her brother had. As soon as her grip was tight enough the cable car had taken off, quickly leaving the station and everything behind. Her hair whipped around her with the speeds, only making it worse as taking the cable car to the bottom, creating higher speeds than ever before. Shizu quietly hoped her brothers sibling bonding would be worthwhile, both in the training sense, and the sense of trying to figure out what was going on in that cold mind of his.

Yoichi held a firm, natural grip on the cable car, as if the winds didn't even threaten him. He let go with one hand, still managing to keep himself sturdy while he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small comb, daring to comb his hair in mid ride, even with the winds whipping around around them.
The cable car began to reach the bottom of the large cavarn, the dry bottom where people rarely visited. Only, the car wasn't slowing down. Infact, since going down, it only seemed to pick up speeds. Yet this was Yoichi's stop, whether the car would stop for him or not. He looked at his sister, reminding himself that he would have to endure being nice to her, that everything would pay off when she found out that "Kyle" was a spy, sneaking around in her village. It would be too perfect.
Yoichi gave off a grin, which could easily be mistaken as a smile from any angle. The metal on the cable car scratched at the track beneath them, then without warning, Yoichi Grabbed hold of Shizu and jumped. As soon as he had unlatched himself from the cable car, he began rolling, until he hit the ground, a bit dirty, but completely safe. Quickly, he jumped to his feet and regained his posture, making sure that there were no scuffs on his beautiful shoes.
"Gets easier and easier." He said out loud. "You alright sis? We have training to do."
